Why does this Sharp CRT TV turn on then click off a few seconds later?

When the power switch is pressed the VCC 9v is measured on the 56 pin IC TB1253AN but not after a few seconds. On pin 32, the x-ray pin, about 8v appears after the power button is pressed then goes down after a few seconds. The voltage at pin 32 is supposed to be 3.3v when the TV is working o.k according to the pin diagram of the ic. The TV is being shut down by the high voltage from the x-ray protection circuit. When the TV is just plugged in the d.c voltage at the horizontal output seems to be normal at 130v. The components of the protection circuit-resistors,diodes, capacitors were checked. One end of the resistors were unsoldered. All checked o.k. The IC and the flyback transformer were replaced by new ones. Why is the voltage from the protection circuit so high? What can I do? Thank you. Donald.

My Sharp TV's Stand-by Mode (Red), Model 14V-K80M, turns ON, turns GREEN when the other button is pressed but turns back to RED after a few seconds.

Hi

Your tv set may have an overload in the supply line. Check its rectifier diode and filter capacitor. Another approach is to check if the DC supply line of the switch mode controller IC (UC4842 for exemple).is present (10/12V). If these are OK, replace the switching MOSFET transistor and check the source resitor for open circuit.

My Panasonic TC-21Z88RBN doesn’t displays the total picture vertically ,when the picture is display it like not in the center of the screen sum of it is disappear in the bottom

Hello

Your TVs vertical output section has the fault. You just open your TV after disconnecting it from the AC mains wall socket, and locate the vertical output section. This section uses an Ic marked as part [IC 401] on the board and its number is LA7840. Just look for any loose soderings around its components legs, and the solderings at the IC legs, which has 7 of them. The IC stated above will be screwed onto a heatsink to radiate heat out of it when it works.
If all soldering point are fine, come towards the IC legs and measure the voltages at each leg. The voltages must be
pin 1= Ground
pin 2= 12.6
pin 3= 24.7
pin 4= 4.4
pin 5= 4.4
pin 6= 24v [vcc]
pin 7= 1.8
All voltages stated above are DC voltages with respect to ground. If any of this voltage is missing, find out the reason for that. If all of them are noted abnormal, IC may be defective, and replace it.
[vcc] stands for main input voltage to the IC.

SOUND BUT NO PICTURE WHEN DVD IS PLAYING

Need to check an av switching ic. Make sure you got the 12v going to the ic, if missing troublle shoot power supply. If it is there, bad ic. Or if it is low, unsolder vcc pin and check for right voltage to see if the ic is bringing down the voltage.

Power light blinks and no picture

No picture - screen is empty. Sound is ok
Check IC101 (BA7630F), if video signal comes to input (pin 1) but not present at output (pin 14) then replace this IC
No picture and sound, only a high pitch sound at switch on
Remove horizontal transistor and measure the resistance across any two pins. This value should be no less than 200ohms
Picture fades away few seconds after start-up till no picture. Sometimes no picture at all. Sometimes picture OK for longer. Sound unaffected.
Faulty joints on CRT pcb. Cracked solder joints at tube socket connections on CRT circuit board. Caused variable supply to CRT heaters. Resolder all socket pins to pcb.

Sanyo AVM-3289G TV will not turn on

Probably flyback in this set, but you can check Horizontal output, a 3 pin Transistor standing up on a heatsink. Also Large cap in powersupply.

Tv cuts off 10 seconds after switch on and destroying vertical output ic

If the main IC is not putting out a vertical drive signal then the vertical output will not do anything and therefore will not be damaged. What exactly do you mean by the set "literally eats deflection IC's"? What is the number on the vertical output IC? I will bet that your pump-up cap or pump-up diode is defective.
