Clean instructions

I presume you are requesting instructions for cleaning this coffeemaker...

With the coffeemaker off (either a red blinking light or no light on), pour four cups of pure white vinegar (no water added) into the reservoir. Remove any filters, but leave the strainer basket in place. Tap the "select" button three times until the red light is on (and stays on, not blinking). The cleaning cycle now begins. It should take between 45 minutes and an hour to complete. Don't be concerned about the 30-minute long pause during the cycle when nothing happens. This is intentional and part of the cycle.

After the cleaning cycle has completed, get rid of the vinegar. Rinse out the strainer basket and the coffee pot. Run a full pot of clean water thru a regular brew cycle (with the pot and basket in place, of course). Then, dump the water, rinse the pot and basket again, and run another full pot of clean water thru a regular brew cycle. Dump that water too. And, you're done!

How do you go about "descaleing" the coffee maker? The water does not flow through the coffee capsule very well.

I know that most grocery stores sell a "cleaner" or two next to their coffee filters/coffee makers/kitchen appliances section. These are usually heavily acidic, and will do a great job of cleaining your coffee maker. I've always been wary of acid in my coffee though, so I just use white vinegar. It'll do a decent job of cleaning out the coffee maker. Run a 1:1 mix of water and vinegar through your coffee maker, drain it, then run water through at least twice.

Scaleing/deposits building up in a coffee maker are signs of imperfections in the water. All tap water has it, but if you don't want to worry about it, use bottled or filtred water in your coffee pot. Plus, your coffee will taste better!

Lost instruction manual. How do I clean coffee maker to get rid of strong acid taste coffee? MoldelB60 single cup coffee maker

Most coffee pots are cleaned by running 1 part white vinegar and 1 part water. Just put in the reservoir and run a cycle. Once completed, run again with 1/2 pot of water only and it will clean it. If you use your pot daily, this should be done once every few months. If you have foul tasting coffee, you should use bottled water to rectify that. Plain tap water has minerals that dilute the taste of the coffee and over time build a residue in your pot.

Can't find instructions for cleaning

You can buy commercial coffee maker cleaner at most places that sell coffee makers. Follow the package directions. Usually you just add it to a pot of water and run it through. Repeat the process, then run a couple of pots of plain water to rinse it. You can also use a pot of plain vinegar to clean the machine, but its a smell that many people find unpleasant.

Coffee Maker only brews 1 cup at a time

Hello. I just talked to Cuisinart and they recomended running a solution of 1 part vinegar and 3 parts water through the brew cycle, then a full pot of plain water to rinse, to remove hard water deposits. The phone # to Cuisinart is 1-800-726-0190. I hope all works out for you.

I put in 12 cups of water and only 4 cups come out with coffee what is wrong with this. It is only one month old

This occurs occasionally if the unit needs cleaning or you are brewing a new pot of coffee immediately after emptying a hot pot of coffee.
Run a cup of vinegar through the coffee maker twice, run at least 2 pots of clean water through to rinse the vinegar out.
This should clear the problem until it needs cleaning. The suggested frequency of cleaning is every 30 pots, but this varies depending upon the type of water you use.

Self cleaning the quisinart coffee maker

I always use a mixture of 50:50 of cold water and white vinegar to help clean the internal parts of any minerals and scaling.

Unplug the coffee maker first, then add the water/vinegar mix to the reservoir.

Place a new, clean paper filter in the basket to help catch any deposits that will be dislodged and cleaned from the coffee maker.

As far as having the coffee pot dry, there is no need for that. I do tend to wait about 15 minutes to let the cleaning mixture disolve any deposits in the main water reservoir and then I turn on the coffee maker and let it process the water/vinegar solution through it.

Once it's done, turn off the coffee maker and discard the solution in the pot. And rinse out the coffee pot/carafe with clean, fresh cold water. Remove and throw away the used paper filter element andrinse out the basket with warm water and put it back on the unit.

Now fill the coffee pot/carafe with fresh, clean water and pour that into the coffee maker's water reservoir. Put in a new, clean, paper filter and turn the unit on and run a plain pot of water. This will help to clean out any remaining residue and clear the unit of the vinegar taste and odor.

Now you're all set to start making fresh tasting coffee again. I always recommend using filtered water for the best tasting coffee, as the taste is a direct result of brewing temperature, water purity, and the coffee you use.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

We have a waring pro wc1000 coffee maker and it just started taking forever to brew a pot of coffee. How can we fix it?

If you've never done a decalcification, do one. A decalcification basically means that you're running vinegar and water through your coffee maker to get rid of calcium build up, which can cause your coffee maker to run very slowly, or not at all.

You always want to do a "1/3 white vineger to 2/3 water" solution--meaning that if you have a 10 cup coffee maker, you want to fill it 1/3 of the way up with vinegar (3 cups), the rest with water. If you have a 12 cup coffee maker, you want to do 4 cups of vinegar, fill it the rest with water. And yes, it DOES have to be white vinegar--the other vinegar types don't do anything for calcium ;)

You basically just brew the vinegar/water though your coffee maker, and you might have to do it 2-3 times before it will be completely fixed--most companies recommend that you run the vinegar/water through your coffee maker once ever 1 to 2 months to prevent things like this from happening, so if it's already happening, you may have to do it more.

And always remember--after you brew a pot of vinegar/water through your coffee maker, brew a regular pot of plain water through it afterwards, or your coffee will taste like vinegar! lol

If all else fails, you can always contact Waring customer support - their phone number (according to their website, www.waringproducts.com ) is 1-800-4WARING (1-800-492-7464)

Good luck! :)

Cuisinart DCC2000 quits brewing after 1or 2 cups

Finally, I got my coffee pot to run through without stopping several times. To fix it I had to run vinegar through eight times! Never before has it taken so many cycles to clean out a pot. It is still spluttering a bit so today I am going to get more vinegar or maybe even CLR and run it through a few more times.
