2013 F150 F150 FX4 - When I press the drivers heated seat indicator on the display it lights up but starts the seat cooling system. The passenger seat works properly. How do I fix this?

There are a few potential causes for this issue with the driver's heated seat in your 2013 F150 F150 FX4:
  1. Faulty seat control module: The seat control module is responsible for controlling the heating and cooling functions of the seat. If it is faulty, it may cause the seat to function improperly.
  2. Wiring issue: There may be a problem with the wiring that connects the seat control module to the seat heating and cooling elements.
  3. Faulty seat heating and cooling elements: The heating and cooling elements in the seat may be faulty and not functioning properly.
To fix this issue, you will need to diagnose and troubleshoot the problem. This may involve checking the wiring, testing the seat control module, and inspecting the seat heating and cooling elements. It is recommended to have a mechanic or dealership technician diagnose and fix the issue, as they will have the necessary tools and expertise to properly troubleshoot and repair the problem.

Can calcium deposit on the heat element cause the unit to smoke and smell like an electrical fire? And how can. I fix this?

It could be.... It could also be something plastic that got onto the element that is melting and smoking. It could also be a connector to the control board that is loose and is over heating. This is more serious. Carefully check the heating element for some foreign plastic part that is pressing up against it. If there is nothing, then call a professional to make sure that it's not the controller that is overheating and in danger of catching fire.

Clean light keeps flashing

Hello

Look in the bottom of the dishwasher and see if there is anything stuck in the drain. You may need to use a flashlight and a mirror to see down the drain. Usually when the light comes on it is because something is in the drain that is preventing the proper operation of the impeller that pumps the water out of the washer.

If you see nothing in the drain then i think the heating element has gone out and they usually take the control board with them when they go. There is a test you can do to confirm this.

Try pushing the heat dry and then normal back to back three times and then start as usual. This should clear the problem. It is only a temporary fix as the heating element is already gone.

If this is the case you will need to have a service person look at your unit. A good handyman can fix this also. You will need to order a new heating element and control board.

Oven does not heat

Your problem could be in your control switches or a bad heating element. Using a voltmeter check for 240 AC volts at the heating element connection. If voltage is present your heating element is most likely the problem. If no voltage is present then something in the control circuit is malfunctioned. I had this same problem about a month ago. Using the above troubleshooting I determined the heating element was defective.

Blinking Clean light in Whirpool dishwasher

Control is programmed to stop running and not allow any further cycles if it detects a water heating problem (no temperature increase detected in heated Main Wash on 3 consecutive cycles). Control blinks the Clean LED 7 times repeatedly and disables the Start/Resume key until cleared. Running Diagnostics clears the control and allows it to operate again. The water heating problem must be fixed or the control will stop running again. See potential causes below. Heater circuit problem: ■ Open in heater. ■ Open connection or component in heater circuit. ■ Faulty heater drive circuit on control. 1. Check operation of heater in Diagnostics cycle. 2. Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power. 3. Check resistance of heater and all components and connections in the water heating circuit or heat dry circuit.

Sunbeam Heating pad will not reset

I have a Sunbeam heating pad with the SW204 controller that the High light blinks when it is plugged in. I called Sunbeam and the first thing they said is it cannot be plugged into a surge protector. Next, to reset it unplug it from the wall, then unplug the controller from the heating pad. Wait 30 seconds, then plug the controller back into the heating pad and then into the wall. It did the trick. However, when I move it to the bedroom plug it does the same blinking. Sunbeam is sending me a replacement heating pad. They appear to be very good with Customer Service since it is more than a year old.
