I am having trouble getting to a video resource that lets me see and hear pictures.

The only input channels I get are one that say,"GAME" and one that say, "3". When I press 3 I see and hear the picture for a moment and then it goes to a black screen that says, "PROTECTED PROGRAM" by TV-14

Trying to hook up xbox 360

You should have 3 wires. 1 is for video and the other 2 are for the audio. The wires should have them labeled. Once plugged into tv. You will need to change the input until you see xbox game. New tv's have multiple input channels. So u may have to try different inputs. Also you need to make sure the the wires are in grouped inputs on the back of the tv. Let me know if u have any questions.

I cant hook up the red, white, and yellow wires to my magnavox tv

If you mean that the TV doesn't have a set of composite video/audio jacks, then you need a converter for the inputs on the TV. (Most likely you need a video converter (RF modulator) that converts the game console composite video to RF (coax) and set the TV to channel 3 or 4 usually. RF modulators are available from stores like Radio Shack for $30.)

If you have a TV with a composite video input and can't get the game console to view, then there is a different problem. First try new cables. Switch your input as needed for both the TV and the game system. This will depend on the TV and if you have the original remote/unlocked front panel buttons on the TV or a substitute remote that maintains all of the features of the original remote. On some TVs you can cycle through to the A/V inputs by increasing (or decreasing) the channels until you are between channel 2 and the highest available channel. (This doesn't always work if the TV has been programmed to skip channels that previously had no signal.) Otherwise look for a Source or Input button on the remote or TV (or an OSD menu (sub menu) that lets you change the source).

I hope this helps.

There is power to the console. We can hear the

Check the input cables coming from the Wii to the TV. Then check to see that your selecting that right Aux channel. On most remotes there is a source or input selection. Pressing this should cycle through all input channel selections. One input should be the Wii signal.

try checking to make sure your cables are plugged in correctly, or try setting it up on a different tv to see if it works. the cables could be faulty.
Try changing the input channel, you may have it on the wrong input channel.

Playstation 3 console not displaying on tv screen

Make sure all the video cable connections are plugged firmly into the back of the PS3
The sound you are hearing indicates that you are on the right track. To get the video to work you will need to select the correct channel on your TV set. Connect the video cables (yellow) to the video INPUT of the AV port of your TV and then change to the AV channel on your TV set to view the picture.

Please let me know if this did not fix your problem

No picture

A possible solution to your problem could be that the audio and video cords are plugged into different jacks in the television. I have experienced the same problem and i found that by switching the video cord to different inputs on the tv i would eventually have picture. The audio seems to be fine so leaving that cord where it is should be fine. On the remote to his tv there should be an "input" button that changes which components the tv is reading. If you press the input button and the picture appears on the screen but the sound goes away then your 2 plugs for the game console are not in the same channel on the back of the tv. I hope this helps

Sylvania tv input channel with dishnetwork remote

The remote control has a "Game" button, which is how you select the external input. Since you don't have a remote you can select game mode via the front panel Menu button:

1) Press the MENU button so that the menu display appears on the TV screen.
2) Press the VOL(ume) ▲ button so that "PICTURE" is selected.
3) Select the feature you wish to adjust with the CH(annel) ▲ or ▼ button and adjust it with the VOL(ume) ▲ or ▼ button.

GAME MODE: Set to the most suitable position for TV
GAME. [+] : ON [ - ] : OFF

This will place your TV into Game mode and use the front panel video/audio jacks.
