Question about Epson Stylus C64 InkJet Printer
Have noticed that I was originally using T 443 and T444 Cartridges. Original boxes state For use with 'Epson Stylus C64 New boxes state 'C64' Could this be the reason. Wrong boxes? Carrier which contains cartridges jammed
If you were using T 443 & T444, you should use the same cartridges and if you use the wrong ones it would jam and cause serious damage. So be careful and use the correct cartridges. If you are not sure take the old cartridges and show them to the dealer and he will be happy to show you the correct ones!

In my opinion, the Epson series has a problem with their printheads assemblies as they do get clogged too easily. I've experienced this much too often. I do believe that the printheads can be replaced, but it's less of a hassle to just buy a new printer.

1) Unplug the power cord, wait 30 seconds, then plug back in.
2)Did you follow the directions exactly when replacing the cartridge? Did you peel off the protective film?

Had the same problem, just pull all of the cartridges out, then reseat them, for some reason this fixes the problem. At least it worked for me.

Try this: First check which cartridge(s) are not being recognized. In my case where I replaced all three color cartridges, two were recognized right away but one was not. You find out by sending a print request to the printer and looking at the ink cartridge levels diagram in the dialog window. In my case two of three were fine but one had a red X on it. So I removed it and cleaned the contacts with alcohol then rocked it in the slot after pressing it in. It was recognized and the charging process began as normal.

Tips for a great answer:
Install your cloned ink cartridge into the Epson printer.
Go to "Start > Control Panel" on your computer.
Double-click on "Printer."
Right-click on the icon of your Epson printer and choose "Printer Preferences" at the bottom of the dialog box.
Click on the tab entitled "Speed and Progress" and see the Epson printer monitor box.
Check off the box that says "Disable Epson Status Monitor" to turn off the ink monitor.
Click "Save" and close the windows. Your cloned ink cartridges should now work.
