The gap is NOT mentioned in the maintenance section. The normal setting for a machine of this type is a gap of .030"

most likely the air filter is clogged, take it out blow it out or spray water through it and allow it to dry completely.

alterinavely, just pouring a small amount of gas onto the filter should make it work, i would do that even if you do clean it properly.

this method works for cars too!
