Factory reset will make it right. There are two types of reset to TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

Sharp lc-55n7000u half screen upside down

Hi,

There should be a setting on your TV that is called Picture Flip. See if you can access it with your Sharp remote (not a Universal remote)

Press MENU
Scroll left or right to SETUP
Scroll up or down to PICTURE FLIP
Scroll up or down to STANDARD
Press ENTER
Press MENU
That should turn your picture normal. Let us know if it worked.

LC-37SH12U picture is upside down

Its somewhat common for this to happen and generally its an easy fix but since your set doesn't have the flip picture option your going to need to get into the service mode to fix this...below are the steps on how to get into the service menu on a Sharp TV...once your in there you need to look for either mirror image or H invert, and change that setting from on to off or off to on depending on what setting you have.

* While the LCD is on, unplug the power cable.
* Then while pressing the {INPUT} & {VOL -} buttons on the remote, plug the power cable back into the outlet.
* When it powers up you will see a little "k" appear in brackets.
* Then on the TV, press and hold {VOL -} & {CH -} down and release.
* The Service Menu will be displayed.
* Use {CH+} {CH -} buttons to navigate
* Use {VOL+} {VOL -} buttons to adjust the value.
* Turn the set off to exit the Service Menu.

Television screen is showing mirror image not the actual image.

There's a button on the original remote control that does exactly that:

Mitsubishi VS-5041 50 Inch Rear Prorjection TV No image but there is sound!

After 11 years???? OMG This set is a tired pup and should be put to reast. My experience with older sets and your complains are all capacitor problems and is only gonna get worse as the first time around repair will take several capacitors to repair. This set has no user serviceable parts inside so you should not attempt a repair suchj as this on your own.. This repair if you decide to go through the first time will be About 300 to 600 bucks the first time and cost will continue to raise till the sets put to sleep. Good luck
