Your hands were installed incorrectly. The next time it gongs multiple times turn the hour hand clockwise until it is pointing at the number of times it gonged. Next take off the dial nut off (make sure to put it in a plastic bag because they can be hard to replace) and turn the minute hand until it strikes once. Now put the minute hand back on pointing to 6 o'clock and replace your dial nut and you are all set.

SOURCE: Chimes are nine minutes slow

Take the minute hand off and turn hand over. There is a brass bushing that attaches to the aluminum hand. Take a small screw driver and place in the square hole of the brass bushing. Turn either direction and test on the minute post of the clock. Keep adjusting until the clock chimes right on the 1/4 hour position. Make sure to put the hand back on the right 1/4 hour.

Move the second button from the left to set, enter the time in 24 hour format via the HH and MM buttons, then move the button to start. The far left switch, on/auto.off is for the chime. Set to on for 24 hour alarms, set to auto for no chime from 11pm til 6am, set to off, to turn it off.

I had to leave the far black left switch on or up,turn the white set /run switch to set..the far left hour is the 10 , the next hour is the 1, the next min is the 10, the far right is min 1.
when you want to set tghe clock time .press the button and count the chirp for the time..for 10: 36 press the far left button 1 time.. do not touch the next 1 hour button..: touch the 10 min button 3 time or 3 chirps.. press the 1 min button 6 times or chirps.. then set the set switch up or run..the chime should chime every 15 min.. and the hour should chime for te hour on the hour..

YES! Like BA said, inside the clock are switches. Turn one to OFF. Move the other to SET. Then push the H button the # of the hour it is. There are one (far left) and two digit #s (far right). I'd tried to fix this clock we bought for my mom and dad some 15 years ago.....finally the clock works again! Thanks BA!!

Hour chime randomly chimes 60 or 70 times

A worn chime cog wheel will not reset or advance the count. Unless you're good at making gears, you'll need a decent clock repair guy in your area.

Since I changed the batteries in my klockit the chimes go off 15 min. before the hour.

The next time it chimes multiple times turn the hour hand clockwise until it is pointing at the number of times it gonged. Next take off the dial nut off (make sure to put it in a plastic bag because they can be hard to replace) and turn the minute hand until it chimes signaling 15 minutes after. Now put the minute hand back on pointing to 3 o'clock and replace your dial nut and you are all set.

It's a 3 key chime and strike clock that chimes every 15 min and strikes hours. for last one month it doesn't chime at 12, 3, 6, and 9 position and the hour strike is not synchronous with min hand

More than likely, there are springs that activate the levers for it to chime, or bong, they may have got jammed up, you can open it up, and see if you see anything like that, if not, you will have to take it to your local jewelry store, or watch/clock makers to have them take a look. You never indicated what type of clock (make or model) so I can\'t be certain. Maybe a ships clock? They may want to charge you for a overhaul of the movement, but you can tell them to just "make it work" if it was running fine before (keeping time well) then an overhaul probably isn\'t necessary. It sounds like something may have got jammed.
I hope this helps !

Timex westminster anniversary chime clock doesn't chime correct number

Take the batteries out from the base, where the chime mechanism is. Wait till it gets close (20 seconds till) to a specific hour time, like 8:00 or 9:00, replace the batteries for the chime mechanism. And then count the chimes at the hour. If they are correct, you are set. If they are incorrect, turn the time back 15 minutes before the hour and bring it right back and monitor the chimes again. Hopefully this should fix it. Please post the results.
