Did you mess with the alighnments?? I doubt that just an alighnment will help as they do tend to drift but all three tubes dont go out of alighnment unless something happens to the circuit. If your a technician then sure you can replace the convergence ics but if your not its not like replacing spark plugs in your car. Electronic repair is a trained trade. Its not something we can teach you overnight or even in a month. Im sorry but If you are not a tech you should and its highly advised that you do take the set to a pro to have rthis problem fixed as theres very high voltage in these sets that can hurt you very badly.. Good Luck

One of your convergence IC's has burned out and needs to be replaced. A good rule here is to go ahead and replace both STK392-110 IC's with the new improved STK392-150's. If you have never replaced convergence IC's and realigned convergence circuits, allow a qualified tech to handle it for you.

Your TV most likely a convergence failure. ( common problem )

Here are some of the most common symptoms and example photos of a convergence problem

  • Screen looks 3D
  • Colors don't line up
  • One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
  • Screen is bowed or warped.
Here are some photos of convergence problems.

Here is a quick test....

Using your original remote go-to the tv settings then goto the convergence section.

Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.

You should be able to move them up, down, left, and right.

If you can't move them in all directions your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.

0667c5f.pngSOLUTION

You will need to replace the convergence chips and possibly some convergence resistors and pico fuses. Its a fairly easy DIY job or you can call in a pro. If you want to do the repair yourself check the site www.TvRepairKits.com. Their kits include a photo instruction guide, original OEM Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, pico fuses, thermal paste, email/phone support, etc.

Computer has vga port and tv has hdmi port

Please know that VGA is an analog signal and HDMI is digital so it is impossible to go from one to the other without a converter. If you need to convert any VGA or component signal into a digital high definition HDMI signal up to 720p resolution, this conversion box will do the job perfectly. The only additional thing that you need to get besides this converter is an HDMI cable of the appropriate length.http://sewelldirect.com/Component-VGA-to-HDMI-Scaler-720p.asp Hope this Helps you!

Have new printer and need to change ink cartridges. Cannot see instructions in the Manual that came with HP OfficeJet4500 - Oml Cartrodge 901

Turn on the printer (the cartridges will not move without power to the printer) and open the front access door on the front right of the unit. Wait until the cartridge carrier comes to a full stop (idle and silent) in this opening. Press down lightly on the cartridge to be changed and then pull the cartridge out of the slot towards you.

Remove the new cartridge from the packaging and remove the tape that protects the contacts. Hold the cartridge by the black plastic; do not touch the electrical contacts or the nozzles. Hold the cartridge with the HP logo up on top and slide the cartridge into the slot until it snaps into place. (Color on the left and black on the right) When done changing the cartridges (if you need to do both), close the access door and wait for the unit to print an alignment page. Then scan the alignment page. If the alignment page doesn't print on its own. Press the Setup button (looks like a wrench) on the printer. Select Tools (left/right arrows) and press OK. Then select Align Cartridges and press OK. Put the alignment page face down on the glass so that the text is to the right of the unit. Then press OK.

HP has a video and detailed pictures of the cartridge replacement for the 4500 here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01952777&tmp_task=setupCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=3919448&lang=en .

I hope this helps.

Double picture on start up

Hi,
It's a convergence issue. Go into the main TV menu under video settings and look for convergence. If it has an auto convergence select that and wait a minute the TV will adjust itself and give you a clear picture.
If the TV does not have an auto convergence and just regular convergence than select this. It will give you a grid pattern on your TV and you have to move the coursor (using TV remote) and adjust each "point" so that each line is perfectly white. If you notice red or blue anywhere on that "line" then you have to adjust using the up, down, left and right arrow keys to "line up the red and blue lines with the nearest white line. It takes time and patience to do, but when completed, all lines on the grid pattern should be pure white and you will have a great looking picture.
You have to do this will all TV inputs (Video1, Video2 and so on) the reason Zoom looks good, is because you never used that screen as much and so the lenses didn't have a chance to get out of syncs.
RPTV's are made of the three lenses (red, Blue and Green) and as you watch TV, these lenses slowly get out of alignment. So you should do a convergence about twice a year to make sure nothing is out of whack.
Good luck...

Check the RGB settings from the monitor panel.... Plus try moving the neck of the monitor left and right a couple of times.... Sometimes, the picture tube displays illegitimate pictures with some twisted cables or so...

I need to replace and then adjust the headlights on my 2000 Chrysler 300M. How do I replace the headlights, then adjust them.

Park your vehicle on level ground with the headlights near a garage door or wall. A good distance is 2-3 feet away from the wall or door. The location must be perfectly level and flat at a distance of 10 to 25 feet away from the door or wall.
Switch on the low headlight beams and mark the horizontal and vertical centerlines of each headlight beams on the wall using masking tape. This will mark the center of each beam with a +. The marking will tell you where exactly the headlight beams should be centered from a distance.

Move the vehicle back about 10 to 25 feet away from the garage door or the wall.

Keep the headlights on the low beam setting.
Use the markings you made on the wall or garage door to, check where the light shines and see if the centerlines still match up with the masking tape marks. If the centerlines of the two beams do not align with the tape marks, you can adjust one or both sides as needed.

Make the necessary adjustments with the lights still on while watching the light beams on the wall and your marks.
Turning the top adjusting screws in a clockwise direction will raise the beam while counterclockwise turn will lower it.

Turning the side adjuster screws will adjust the lights to the left or right.

Continue the adjustments until the center of the light beams are aligned with the tape marks. Then adjust the vertical alignment of both beams slightly below the marks on the wall. This will assure that the lights are tilted slightly downward so they won’t blind approaching motorist.

The will align bot lights, the high and low sine both are connected to the same headlight!!
