Sounds like an imperfection in one of the layers of the screen, this can be resolved by dismantling the screen and cleaning the layers in a dust free environment...... so in everyday terms this should be done under warranty.

As for water damage.... unless the patch starts from the outer edge of the screen it is highly unlikely to be caused by water damage in my opinion.

Spots are usually a result of hard water. Your softener, if you have one, may be low on salt. The other thing is over loading the washer will do this as well. Last thing to check is your drain. Clean out the screen. If it does not drain properly it will leave old water in to re circulate.

Not a good idea to clean tv with windex. Try wet towel dipped in mild soap solution. Make sure all water has been removed and towel is only wet. When tv off, try removing the spots. Turn tv on only after tv dry.

If the splotches are a shawdowy black and look like mold growing between the Lens, its most likely dirt or water spots on the bottom of the large mirror. I cleaned mine and missed a few water spots on the bottom of the large mirror and the splotches (spots) showed on the screen. Other than Dirt, or water spots, There is nothing else that I can think of that would cause this. Unless the Someone has cleaned the screen and it soaked up between the lenes. But it Takes about 30 minutes to disassemnble, give it a good cleaning and put it back together.

this is what i do in the workshop warm water in a bowl with a little washing up liquid & a clean soft cloth ring it out then go over spots u my need to do the whole screen as one area is now very clean . do this very softly .

There are LCD screen cleaning products. You can use a soft clean cloth moistened with water and a little alcohol. Wipe the screen with light pressure. Do not apply heavy pressure to the screen, it can crack the glass surface.

You can't. Don't try. Are you sure the spots are not on the surface?
Clean your monitor screen with a soft rag and water only. If that doesn't work. you might try a solution of VERY MILD soap, like dish soap. And a very dilute solution. Wipe carefully. Never use glass-cleaning solutions like Windex or equivalent.

if you have a jar of honey handy, run the jar under hot tap water for a few minute's. then take a dab and place it on a bandaid or piece of gauze. then center and stick it to the screen. do make sure your battery is removed and no power is connected. leave the bandaid in place for at least 4 hour's. remove and clean any excess off the screen then power it up.
sound strange? honey will suck moisture out of a diamond!
