Why is red light flashing when there are no messages on the machine?

You have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

You have phone with a built in Answering machine.

The flashing light alerts you that you have a message in the machine that has not been listened to.
Simply find the button that says 'answer' or perhaps it has a picture of a mail envelope.
push that button and follow the instructions of the menu.
after you listen to the message, the light will turn off.
If you don't want to have the light at all, it can be turned off in the menu.

Count how many times the red light flashes and how many the green light flashes.If its 1 green and 1 red thats water problems.If 2 flashes of red light check filter is clear and pump is free to turn.

A flashing light is usually indicative of unheard messages on the machine.

The inability of callers to leave messages could mean that the the machine is full.

I'm sorry that I cannot be more absolute with the diagnosis in the absence of a make and model.

I solved the problem thank you by deleting all messages from the tape.

red light means there is an error. check all covers. open all cover and close again

The red blinking light is an 'event' light, it does not necessarily mean a message is waiting for you, it will also start to flash if you have a missed call.
click 'up' on the round button to show the missed calls list and it will stop flashing, at least it does on mine!

unplug everything and wait for a day then next day plug it all in that what i did ure xbox may need a rest
