After installing the new 3.0 firmware for iphone 3g, i jailbreaked it, after restoring some of the applications, i noticed that my phone wont charge, even if the battery icon says it is charging, there is no change in the battery status if i remove it... ive rebooted many times... and nothing happens, frustrated, i restore the iphone to its original state maybe there is someting wrong when i jailbreak it. Gladly the iphone is charging... then i jailbreak it again.. similar problem occurs... so i restored it again. frustrated once again, i havent jalibreaked my iphone...
has anyone encountered the same problem?
is this a bug for jailbreak?
or do applications do this things?
or is it in the firmware?
guys i need your thoughts about these... tnx..
If you still have this problem you need to do the following:
1. connect your iphone to itunes and select "restore factory settings"
It will delete the firmware on your device and rewrite everything from
scratch.
2. After that itunes will ask you if you want to set up a new iphone or if you want to recover it from your backup. While more convenient, you should not use the backup option and set it up as a new iphone.
3. Now jailbeak it again and make sure to download the most recent version of redsn0w. (if you dont know this, google it =)
redsn0w 0.8 fixes the battery issues =)
Maybe, take your phone to apple, have them replace it and then try the JB again.
