Hi
Using with NSF viewer tool you can come out of this problem.
Download now- https://www.nsfsecurityremover.com/nsf-viewer.html
By using this NSF file viewer, users can easily open Lotus Notes NSF files to preview the NSF database i.e. all the mailbox items including emails, contacts, calendars, journals, etc. This NSF reader is featured with the Auto search option to find a particular email item. This will help you out.

Wow it's been a while since I've used Lotus Notes. Under default programs, does it show Lotus Notes as the default mail program? Is there a setting in Lotus Notes itself you might check to see if it can set itself as default?

Looks like quite a few people are having issues with this version. Might want to try updating to Notes 8.5.2 per IBM's Technote SPR# JZJZ84WDMA

A disk utility to recover nsf-file

put it on the new computer and from the Notes File menu switch to that ID when you need to open the old mail file. You can also use the ID to unencrypt the database so that you can read it using any ID file. (Under File-Database Properties-Encryption Settings) I had read about it here: https://recoverytoolbox.com/lotusnotes.html

How do I fix Damaged NSF file?

Hi...
The process you go through to try and fix a corrupted NSF file is to run the sequence of fixup, compact and then updall.
To do this go to the console and run the following commands:
LOAD FIXUP database (Remembering to add -J switch if transactional Logging is on)
When this has finished then:
LOAD COMPACT database (you may need to add a switch here depending on your system config i.e. -B), and finally:
LOAD UPDALL Database (Usually with -r switch).
If you find that this does not solve the problem, then try running these commands from a DOS Command line without the Domino Server running - it can sometimes be more thorough.
The switches can all be found in the help file. If this does not help, then try to restore the file using the Lotus Notes Repair Kit tool. http://www.lotusnotes.repair/
Good Luck.

How to reset/reformat a phone

It may happens that a program corrupts the C: drive of your phone. In such case, some data can be lost of course but, more annoying, some applications may not work or work only partially,...

On a Series 60 based phone, two key sequences will allow to restore your phone to a cleaner state:
Normal Reset (*#7780#) : Restores ini files from rom but preserves user data (photos, 3rd party apps etc)
Deep Reset (*#7370#) : This reformats completely the C: drive. All applications and files stored on this drive will be lost and clean default files will be rewritten.

In both case, the phone will ask you a confirmation and you will have to enter a security code (12345 by default).

Files and applications stored on E: drive are not be affected

Restarting very often

try restoring settings of you phone. navigate to settings and find restore factory settings, when selected it might ask for your security code, the default is 12345, if you havent changed it yet.
if the problem isnt still solved that way try this
Normal Reset
Using the *#7780# sequence.

It will restore ini files from ROM keeping all your data (themes, 3rd party applications, video, photos, and music files)
Deep Reset
Using the *#7370# sequence.

Completely format phone memory. Default files are cleaned up and rewritten.

Note that data found on memory card will not be altered
