Dose the dryer belt have a twist in it coming off the pully so that flat side of belt is against the drum and the grooved side wraps around the drive or dose it matter if the grooved side is also against...

The grooved side should be in contact with the drum as well as the drive pulley. And blank/flat side of the belt should be in contact with the tension pulley.

I have an iED01 electronic drum set with and iDM02 module. I have problems with the pads staying in place and the module sliding around the rack bar. Any suggestions?

These can't take the beating that regular acoustic drums can. Don't hit thm as hard as real drums. Also you can wrap PVC tape around the rack bar eithr on both sides of each clamp or, better, right where you want the clamp to thicken the bar which allows the clamp to grip better.

Drum does not agitate water goes in and it just humms, no agitation or spin

The drive belt is broken or the motor's rotor is stuck. Open the door and rotate the drum manually. The drive belt is worn or broken if you can freely rotate the drum. The rotor is most probably stuck if you cannot turn the drum.

Visual check can be done by removing the back panel. Remove the screws holding it to the cabinet and pull it off. Replace the belt if it is worn or broken. Simply wrap it around the drive motor pulley and on one side of the drum pulley. Rotate the drum pulley in such a way that the belt completely wraps around it.

Try to free the rotor if it's stuck by lubricating it and forcibly turning it back and forth until it turns freely. To remove the motor, disconnect the motor wiring harness and ground wire from the terminals and remove the mounting bolt. Pull the motor out of the mounting slots. To reinstall or replace, simply slide it back into the mounting slots and secure it with the mounting bolt.

In some cases, the drum will not spin due to a broken drum pulley. Post it back if that is the case.

Diagram for setting up belt on drum tenion

Replacing the Belt
  • Step 1 Put the dryer door-side down on the floor. This allows easier access to the back.
  • Step 2 Locate the center pivot suspending the dryer drum. If held by a clamp, removed any nuts or screws retaining the pivot axle.
  • Step 3 Move the pivot out of the bracket and slide the new belt inside the bracket.
  • Step 4 Replace the drum pivot in the bracket and reassemble the bracket.
    Looping the Belt
  • Step 1 Flip the dryer up so it is once again sitting upright.
  • Step 2 Locate the groove or wear mark the previous belt left in in the circumference of the drum.
  • Step 3 Wrap the belt around the drum in this groove or wear mark, with available slack at the bottom of the drum.
  • Step 4 Wrap the belt around the drive wheel located on the drive motor in the lower corner of the dryer.
  • Step 5 Insure the belt is snug but not biting the drive wheel. This indicates the proper size belt is installed.
    Reassembly
  • Step 1 Reattach any clips or wires to the back cover.
  • Step 2 Reattach the back cover using the six-sided sheet metal screws removed earlier.
  • Step 3 Reattach the top cover. Close tightly so clips secure the cover.
  • Step 4 Plug in the dryer and turn it on to test the belt repair.
  • Step 5 Reattach the dryer vent conduit
