If you check in the unit where the paper first leaves the paper tray, there is a small black lever called a sensor flag that should move freely in and out of a sensor led. Also one or two more inside the machine and where the paper exits the unit.

Sometimes the clicking noise can come for the developer cartridge or the drum. you can carefully take them out and see if they turn freely.

SOURCE: Sharp AR-287 Copier Paper Jam

most copiers that have lcd screens, should you show you where the paper is. sometimes it may take getting down to look under a couple of guide plates. or just roll some of the rollers to get the paper to come out. all it takes a minute piece of paper to be sitting on a sensor for it to throw the paper jam message.

We have a code h4-30 on a sharp mx-2700n how do I reset?

You need to make sure the machine is in Copy Mode when you hit
# * C *
enter 14, then touch start
execute on the screen
the machine will reboot and the code should go away.

If it persists you may need some maintenance. If you're in Houston give us a shout. Our labor rates are low compared to the other Sharp dealers in Houston.

There is a paper jam most probably in the fuser unit. This causes the heater lamps delay in heating the fuser roller at the required time.

Code : H5-01

Check for paper jam in or by fuser unit. Remove paper. On the keypad press P * C * and SIM 14 to reset copier. If you get 5 jams at the fuser unit in a row it gives this code. If it keeps jaming double check for paper, my have a faulty sensor.

Hello.

Sounds like you need a service call. But, the tech should first check/inspect the Drum, Transfer Unit, and Fuser Unit and then reset your counter.

Hope this helps.

Help

H5-01 indicates tha the paper sensor is defective in the fusing unit. The only way you can try to reset that one is buy turning the power off, wait 30 seconds and turn the power back on.

If the error code returns the fusing unit will have to be fixed to take care of the paper sensor.
