SOURCE: how do i connect my headphones?

If your TV does not have headphone jack outlet, then there is not much you can do, the Audio line level out RED and WHTIE RCA jaks are not made to drive headphone directly, it does not have enough power to drive low impedance load such as headphone which has about 8~32 Ohms impedance, the line out RCA is made to drive high impedance load 20,000 Ohms and higher.
If you want to use headphone, what you can do is to get cheap powered PC speaker system that has headphone out jack, then just connect the powered PC speaker to the audio line out of the TV, but the TV must have an option on the audio setup to turn off the built-in speakers.

Can someone please tell me how to connect my logitech z5500 to my lg 42ld460-ta LCD television to get the optimal sound value from the surround sound system? Thanks very much!

Your LG TV has an audio out socket at the back . Your Logitech has a cable with a green pin (headphone type) which normally goes into the PC's sound out. The same pin can be connected to the TV's out. Now if your TV has a digital out at the back, get yourself an optic fiber cable ( make sure its long enough to reach the Logitech ) and connect it to the z5500 for the best in sound !!.

Logitech Z-Cinema Speakers. How do you connect them to a PC Desktop? If bythe USB Cable Supplied does this bypass the PC Soundcard?? Are they compatible with Windows 7? Many Thanks, David

I have these. Just hook up via usb cable. However, to make them work, you have to get the driver for them off Logitechs website. Here is the link : http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/439/3712&hub=1&cl=us,en just click on the "downloads"button and select your operating system and you can find from there.

My Logitech headphones mic won´t work with windows xp. Can hear, don´t hear me.

Your headphone mic is all right. The problem is with the sound driver you are using. Many a time the headphone jack are not properly connected so it may be another issue for not working of your headphone. Your operating system is all right check out the sound driver setting from the control panel.
