Update your VLC player, or reinstall it .. check and see if this is happening on a particular drive or anywhere in the computer. if latter is the case, then you need to install an antivirus and cleanup your computer.

1) I turn on the power and place a prerecorded

If it is not a bad soldering joint somewhere, it could be the mode switch. They can sometimes be cleaned with Servisol Video 40, but you might have to replace it.

Restart at shutdown

Hi,

This behavior may occur if Windows stops responding during a typical operation or during the shutdown process. By default, the computer is configured to automatically restart when Windows stops responding. To view this setting, follow these steps:
  1. Click the Start button, right-click My Computer, click Properties, click the Advanced tab, and then click Settings under Startup and Recovery.
  2. Under System Failure, view the Automatically restart check box. If the Automatically restart check box is selected, Windows automatically restarts if the computer stops unexpectedly.
I can give you anotther solution too

Thanks

Cant set my compressor to automatic start/stop mode

Sorry, what do you mean it 'blows off',, the relief valve is letting off pressure ? Sounds like you need to replace it with the proper psi Relief valve or just a new one. Then you say it restarts but in your question you say 'Cant set my compressor to automatic start/stop mode' If it is restarting that means it is automatically 'stopping' then automatically 'starting' Please clarify your question.
