You can not degauss a LCD monitor.

Degaussing is to reallign the magnetic field on a CRT. An lcd has no such field.

The last time I heard of someone wanting a Degauss for an LCD, it was because there kid took a magnet to there LCD monitor. This will destroy the TFT pixels.

Horizontal shakes

degauss comes to mind... when older monitors build up magnetic field it distorts thic picture and a degauss shakes/scrambbles the screen and gives a nice *thongggg* sound that eleminates the disruptive magnetic build up. (or something)
only flaw with this answer is you usually degauss on purpose.... never seen a monitor degauss on its own, and only old projection style monitors worry about this

more info on degauss (really interesting stuff!)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Degaussing

Degauge monitor

If your using a CRT " older bulky monitor " your looking for a horseshoe magnet symbol, If your using an LCD or flat screen you do not degauss the screen, CRTs are driven by electromagnets steering a beam onto the front. The newer screens do not use an electromagnetic device and they do not have a use for degauss. You used the word degauge did you mean degauss? If your screen is a flat panel LCD/plasma and has color warping you may need to seek servicing.

Dell E193Fp Blue Screen

It can be due to the effect of some kind of magnetic effect.. If your monitor has the degauss feature then degauss it ONCE and see if returns to normal. Do not use degauss feature more than once in less than half an hour. It can damage your monitor.

Screen discolored

did you have a speaker of move something magnetic by the front of the set or move it to a differant location?? Try to unplug the set first for several hours then plug in cold and see if that takes care of your problem.. If it doesent take all of the discoloring away but did a little try this procedture a few more times cold. if its making no differance to the set then the degussing curcuit is not working in the set and your gonna need a tech to check out the relay or thermistor or to deguss the set with a coil.
