Dropped phone hi. i dropped my phone from about 30cm. Initially it was fine, but would not register the sim. so i turned it off. now it will not turn on again...

You may have turned something off in the settings

did u try the same network sim? coz by the sounds of it u ave blocked the network

Try remove the sim and clean it then use it. If that does not help, try another SIM in the phone. If another SIM works fine that means the previous SIM is faulty. You can contact you service provider and change the SIM with the same number.

Hi there, I believe you would have saved your contacts on the sim rather than the mobile. If that is the case, you can put your sim into another mobile, if you don't have one, maybe your friend's and atleast retrieve the contacts.

For T-mobile, go the the store and tell them this, they should provide a new sim card free of charge, if not, its about $20 bucks.

"Emergancy calls only" usually means there is no network coverage.
Try.....

1. Turn phone off.
2. Take sim card out.
3. Leave phone off for 60mins
4. Insert sim card back into phone and turn the phone on.

If this doesnt work, you can contact your network for more information.

Turn off the phone. Take the battery and Sim Card out. Make sure there is no dust or dirt of where the Sim Card goes. Blow air (from your mouth) of where the Sim Card goes. Sometimes rubbing a soft pencil eraser on the Sim Card contact points can help. Then place the Sim Card back in the phone. Make sure it is in the right position; copper contacts facing downward. Put the battery back in your phone. Turn it on, and see if the smartchip rejected goes away.

If not you may need to contact your Phone Provider’s Tech Support to troubleshoot and confirm that you may need a PUK reset code to register or you may need a new Sim Card, as they do fail from time to time.

Return your sim and get it replaced with a new one. Register the new one while you are in the store if you can. You should be able to keep your number.

when i turn phone on it says insert sim what. what does this mean?

Can't use Nokia phone. Screen displays this message. "insert Smartchip"
