Vista Business problems

Hi
I had to recover my Toshiba laptops satellite pro A300 hard drive because of virus.

The recover disk downgrade my operation system to XP from Vista business.

Does any one know where I can get the full version to download? I already got a product code.

Hello my laptop keeps saying no operating system found

This is a problem with recognizing your hard drive or the Operating System installed on the hard drive. Put your Windows 7 or Vista CD into your drive and restart, booting to the CD drive. Try to repair your startup problems. If this does not work, you may have a hard drive failure.

Hi Marvin ,
it sounds like a operating system concern , what operating system do you have?
1st - in projection mode go to your contol panel and run back up - restore , if that wont work then try any operating system disk that you may have , and boot the machine off of it , run another set up onn the computer , im guessing your runninng win 95 or 98 , , so do the restore 1st and 2nd boot off of cdrom with operating disk ..........Good luck Roy

Hi,

try using ActiveBoot suite v5.0.5, when turnig on your computer. This program will scan your computer and show u all the errors, missing files, wrong dll,...and repair them. It worked very well for me as I had a TROJAN virus on my Toshiba satellite 300 and couldn't even boot anymore.
After that try use the RegistryBooster tool witch solves every windows problems.

I hope this will help. Good luck :)

How do I remove the hard drive in Toshiba SatellitePro A10 EN? (Removing the plastic cover exposes only the end of the hard drive. I'm reluctant to just start pulling on it!

  • The original Toshiba Satellite Pro A10 HDD is fitted into a Toshiba Satellite Pro A10 Hard Disk Drive cradle - Toshiba Satellite Pro A10 HDD caddy.

      • Gently remove the cradle from the laptop, yes pull on it
      • Unscrew the original Toshiba Satellite Pro A10 Hard Disk Drive & remove it from the cradle.
      • Screw the new Toshiba Satellite Pro A10 Hard Disk Drive into the cradle & refit the cradle into the laptop.
      • Re-install XP or Vista

Need XP Pro drivers for a toshiba satellite A215-5829 laptop

Some Toshiba laptops are "designed for Vista".
This means that Toshiba will _never_ write and distribute drivers for XP.
Check Toshiba's web-site for "drivers", if any are available.

The process is the same as you would install XP on a clean machine.

The problem you might have is you may not have all the proper XP drivers for the hardware on your laptop.

You can go to the below link which has a good guide on downgrading from vista to XP (provide you with 3 options as well)

          Toshiba satellite PRO A Laptop

Your laptop may be infected by a virus or trojan.
I suggest you take the laptop to a qualified technician who will do the following:
          1: Remove the hard disk
2: Attach the hard disk to another computer system as a SLAVE DRIVE
3: Scan the laptop hard drive for trojans,malware/viruses.
4: After scanning and cleaning, re-install the hard disk in the laptop.
That should get you going again! Please install an antivirus program afterwards to avoid the same happening again.
