You might want to try the troubleshooting procedures on pg 47.

I think you mean key dn....This means you have a stuck key on your keypad. See page 55 of the service manual.

Then you have a short. Will need to track down the source of the short and fix it before the fuses stop popping.

This means you have a stuck key on your keypad. The solution most of the time is to replace the keypad. You can view this information starting on page 55 of the service manual.

1) Run the software calibration for diagnose, troubleshooting.
2) However adjust the reed switch, clean, and tight any wires connector see the diagram
3) adjust the speed sensor, clean, and tigh the wires connector see the diagram attached.

Call Treadmill Doctor at 800-750-4766 and they can help and walk you through some tests.

I'm not sure if this will help.

First I was unable to identiy your model. Star Trac makes 'S Series' treadmills and Pro Tread DC (5500 Pro S model) treadmills. Can you be more specific on your model?

Second. I have used Star Trac customer service in the past and they are the best. They are responsive, and knowledgeable, and will provide troubleshooting flowcharts to help you solve your problem. I highly recommend giving them a call.
