As there are 2 completely different circuits for sound and picture in a tv set it is possible that the picture board has been damaged by the power surge . it could be as simple as a blown fuse for that board or you may have to take it to a repair shop for a proper diagnosis and a quote

Versed, you have to open the back panel (cover) to access the lamp. replacing is easy as soon as you can see it. loosen the mounting bolt and pull to unplug the lamp from the SMPS Lamp power supply. Thats it.

SOURCE: tv keeps turning on and off

You probably have blown capacitors on the PSB-power supply board. Recaping with new UF caps works 90% of the time. The set turns itself of into a fault protection to keep from damaging more components internally. A few bucks a soldering iron some solder should do the trick.

Qn82q70rafxza no picture after power surge?

Try a power board, in most cases that's the only board that gets damaged on power surges, this doesn't sound like a tcon issue

Seiki tv repair

Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.
http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement.

JVC LT40A320 turns on but no picture. Replaced Power Supply & Backlight Inverter (TV was hit by a lightning surge, would not do anything at first) now the green light comes on but no picture or sound.

Since your TV was struck by lighting, the power supply is the first board that gets affected by the sudden change in AC power.. The main board is the next board due to the fragile components and the excess of voltage that is supplied to it when the lighting happened. Since you have replaced the power supply already.. I would suggest to replace the main board and that should restore the functionality on your TV.

Black and white picture and no color

The video controller adjustment section for color has defaulted to black and white because the circuit board may have been affected by a power surge or power outage. It may be that the Video board needs replacing.

No picture

Its certainly possible there may be something wrong with the port itself but first, I would try swapping out the hdmi cable itself to rule that out. It may also be the video board in the receiver. Can you get video out by using RCA cables instead of HDMI? Maybe try that first.

Get sound and "invalid format" message displayed instead of picture

Could have still been hit by a surge. Take the back off of the TV and look at the main board were you connect your HDMI. See if it is scorched or components that blackened. Also check your DVD player on another set. Your DVD player could be the problem.
