What kind of needles do i need for it? bought universal needles from wal mart and they seem to be too long!

I've been sewing for over 30 years, I used organ needle before, but not the organ titanium, you said you just bought the machine, did it come with a instruction manual? if it did then it should tell which needle to use.
I have 2 necchi sewing machine & one babylock serger & I use SCHMETZ universal needle on all my machine, I never had any problems sewing with them, I make clothes & quilts & even upholstery some.

Hello dear! This specific machine recommends regular 90/14 needles, although it would fit 75/11 as well. These are the standard needle and can be purchased at an sewing, fabric or craft store, as well as even a larger store like wal-mart or meijer. (sewing aisle, usually in the middle of the store). If you are sewing a woven, non-stretch fabric, choose the UNIVERSAL needles that come in the red package, if you are sewing on knit or stretch material, choose BALLPOINT (or "stretch") needles that come in the yellow package. Personally, I use schmetz needles. A little more, but way better. Get to stichin! ;)

Are you inserting them flat side facing away from you and making sure that they are inserted all of the way up? Make sure that your needles are not too long, ie. Singer. Check your tension and that you have the right needle for the job, as in denim use a heavy needle like a 14 or 16. Other than that it could be the timing which unfortunately needs a professional to fix.

Sounds like your machine is in need of a good cleaning and oiling. If you aren't handy with taking apart things and getting them back together I suggest taking it to a sewing machine repair place. In the meantime you can try oiling any spots you can access. Use sewing machine oil, found at any sewing/fabric store and even most Wal-Marts.

I blew through the needles that came with the machine within the first couple of months *giggle*
Bought some universal ones and they have been wonderful.....I like the variety and color coding on the ones made for the machine, but they are just too fragile. You can find some universal ones at a specialty shop, wal mart, sewing shops and craft stores.
