Question about Fujitsu 18R1 Air Conditioner

Hi I have a Fujitsu Split system. As of recently it has started to mysteriously started to flick over from heating to cooling on its own. It is a 2.5KW unit and heats rather well. ALl of a sudden you hear the outside unit turn over and it starts to cool instead of heating. Any reason why it might be doing this. Please HELP !!!!!!

Yes i can! The mode of operation (MASTER CONTROL)has been set to AUTO instead of HEAT. Easy mistake and very simple to fix. Press the MASTER CONTROL button until HEAT is display on the LCD.

A four year old Fujitsu split system works fine in all modes except the heat mode. Have turned off the main power source for 45 seconds, no change. Can you help please.

the heating function feeds power to the reversing valve to enable heating the valve coil should be electrically tested, pos opened circuit (burn out )

As stated, sounds like a reversing valve issue, likely need a technician. What exactly happens when in heating? Does it run, still cold, just warm not hot???

3 split units run from one compressor one is not cooling

If there is 3 indoor units from one condensing unit
(6 pipes at outdoor unit) this is classed as a multi unit

All units will run correctly as long as they all require same mode, cooling or heating, if one unit decides to heat it will shut down until master unit decides to heat then it will start, for each unit to individually heat and cool there would have to be 3 pipes to each indoor,

Try taking it off the swing function. Only clicking I can think of, louvers getting jammed???

We just moved into a rental. It has the Fugitsu wall-mounted Air-conditioner model: ar-jw2 but, there was no manual left behind and we are trying to use the heat, however, it just blows cool air, we're not...

Look, if you select a temperature above ambient temperature, it will switch from cooling to heating.(assuming that the aircon has a heat pump. most do these days.) Just dont rush the aircon because every time you make a setting change, it takes a while to regulate.

Your compressor is seized up. shut down unit and let compressor cool down, it may start again but probably needs to be replaced.... sorry for the bad news,
