Princeton Digital VL1716 monitor - no image and completely dark

The screen of my Princeton Digital VL1716 monitor is completely dark. I disconnect the power supply input to the monitor and re-connect it again, it has image for ten minutes and dark again, just like I didn't turn on the monitor. Is there anyway to solve the problem? I notice that the AC adaptor didn't have any light.

Maybe the fuse in the plug socket, maybe the monitor is knackered, maybe a faulty connection to the monitor the computer lead or power lead, if all listed above fail then chuck it in the bin!!

I cannot get the Princeton VL 1716 to stay on the 32 bit color when I reboot.

This problem occurs when the incorrect video driver has been install in the computer. It defaults to generic VGA driver which does not allow any scope to change to a higher screen resolution and a higher bit color setting.
