You most likely have the SAP (Second Audio Program) feature enabled. Many shows do not have this sound track and that is when you hear nothing. When the SAP is on, it is usually in Spanish for English-speaking programs. Check your TV remote for SAP and see if you can disable it.

You need to change the language settings on the TV menu, if you post the problem again, providing information on tv make and model we can be more specific, telling you exactly what to do.

Use your remote control to check the TV SAP settings. This is "second audio program" and is often used to carry the TV sound in another language. If SAP is turned on you won't notice it unless you tune to a channel where the SAP signal is present. Most remotes have a single button to control the audio settings, so it's easy to turn the feature on without knowing it by bumping the button. Turn off SAP and you should be back to English.

SOURCE: when I turn on the TV the channel automatically

this sounds like a manufacturer defect I have found no precedence for this problem anywhere else so I cant imagine the company even giving out an answer to such a rarity of a problem I would suggest contacting the manufacturer and seeing about having them replace it

Why is Insignia tv speaking in spanish on some channels?

Its highly unlikely your TV is translating a broadcast signal. It is significantly more likely that the channel is a Spanish speaking channel

Picture but no sound magnavox HD tv

check to see in audio menu for set and sat or cable box if SAP is engaged as this will (Spanish) cause no sound on certain channels.

The problem or setting exists in the set and most boxes providing signal to the set.

When I turn on the TV the channel automatically goes to a high channel-spanish speaking -no matter what channel it was on when I turned it off.

Vizio gallivea some tv channels are in spanish and no sounds

GO into the customer menu with the remote and look at the audio settings---I would bet you will find SAP has been selected; this will give you some channels in spanish( SAP means secondary audio program) Monday night football and some other programs offer this for Spanish speaking people. Change the setting to Stereo or Mts away from SAp

I do this here for free so if this helps you give me a vote here---if you have questions or need help contact me by replying to this post.
