Question about DeLonghi Esclusivo Magnifica ESAM3300 Espresso Machine

Open Question

I replaced the regulator and now the machine does not turn on correctly; it stays in the green blinking mode and no water flushes through the machine. Why? How can I fix it?

The machine is 5 years old and I decalcify it regularly when it requires it.

Thank you Scott and Mark for your suggestions. I have run the hot water dial and hot water is running fine, no air seems to be in the line? As for the pump needing replacement, the machine was working fine prior to replacing the generator other than the water leaking inside from the old, corroded generator. However now the water leak is fixed with the new generator but now the machine does not turn on correctly. If I leave the machine alone while trying to start up, the green 1-2 cup lights remain blinking for 8-10 minutes until the triangle red warning light comes on. You hear the defuser moving but nothing else. Once the warning light comes on, I have to unplug in order to be able to turn on again. Here is the weird outcome, if I turn off the machine 2-3 mins into the green lights blinking, and immediately turn it back on, the machine goes right into use mode and I can make coffee fine? I don't know if it is the new generator not compatible? I purchased it through eReplacementParts.com and it comes up as the correct part under the model number I own??? Any suggestions is much appreciated. Thank you

SOURCE: Not brewing

it sounds like the pump inside is bad, from either a clog or fuse perhaps.the pump sends the water thru so thats the likley problem.

On the spin cycle setting, should the green light be blinking all the time through the whole wash load.

It blinks when you have spinsense mode activated. When you first start a load just press and hold the water plus button for 3 seconds to turn it on and off. I'm honestly still not sure what exactly the spinsense mode does but thats all it is so nothing to worry about.

I can not get out of descaling mode. I turn it of, unplug it, went into programing mode. Is there a way to reset it? Thanks

If you are talking about the descale light, you must let the machine quit on its own. The pump has to stop on its own. Any interruption (you stopping the machine) will keep it in the descale mode. Once it stops on its own, the lights will change. Then do the rinse by replacing the water in the tank and closing and then reopening the steam knob and again letting the machine quit on its own. Again the lights will change. Then repeat the last cycle (putting water in the tank and closing and then reopening the steam knob)until all the red lights go away and you only have a green blinking light. Now your finished descaling a compact without a digital display.

After descaling stuck in infinite loop

Hi,

How old are your machine?
How often do you descale the machine?

I think it can be the flowmeter in the machine that needs to be replaced.
Try to descale the machine to see if it help.

LED Blinking

Okay 2 blinks isnt a error code, so your set isnt shutting down due to a protection issue, so I would suspect one of the low voltage regulator transistors or the horizontal output transistor as being defective
