Espresso part is working, hot water/steam draining into drip tray.

I can make espresso. When I flip the switch to hot water/steam mode, the water goes into the drip tray. Nothing comes out of the wand. Not a drop. I descaled it last night and water WAS flowing out of the wand at that time..I tried to make a mocha about an hour after that, espresso came out, steam would not.

I had the same problem on my Delonghi ESAM3300; you need to replace the "Tap" #7313216621 you can buy at eReplacementParts.com and search on how to install on Youtube. Its easy. No more leaking. Good luck

I have a Rancilio Silvia around 5 years old. After around a year, it stopped reliably producing dry steam. I have very hard water, but despite regular vinegar cleaning, cannot seem to get it to steam

I work on industrial machines have done so for 15yrs
if your machine is anything like the prof rigs in terms of engineered design then what you are noticing is the pressure release valve working-letting any unused and pressure + water drain from the group head to a small plastic black box below the stainless housing panels/drip tray after extraction is complete.

What i describe should only happen after the shot stopped.

you should hear it and see it the water for about 2seconds after you stop the extraction manually/automatically

When I turn on the steam valve, nor hot water nor steam comes out (not one drop), it doesn't make it to the nozzle and instead it goes directly to the drip tray. Coffees dispense works...

Hi, sounds like either you have a blocked or fauly solenoid, or micro switch or the water inlet side of the boiler is bocked. This is easy to fix. You need to be able to get to the inlet on the boiler, undo the water line and drill it out using a 3mm drill bit. Dazza

Sounds like the steam wand is getting blocked some where either at the metal end or in the parnello wand if you machine has one at the end of the steam wand, if both of those are clean then try this push in on the steam knob if that works then tap rod assemble or steam valve needs to be replaced, make sure to ask about the stainless steel valve instead of the plastic one.

Hi
I would suspect that your 3 way valve is stuck. There is a copper line that goes from the top of the brew head to the right side of the machine to the 3 way valve. That 3 way valve may have to be replaced.

Gaggia Titanium Espresso machine problem: steam venting into inside compartment after pulling espresso shots.

Normal, depending on the amount, when the hot water goes through the coffee and the pressure builds up the excess has to go somewhere when it stops, usually the drain tray, so there is a little steam loss.

Water is leaking into the drip tray.

Clean the chamber below the white plastic valve, there is also a small discharge that leads from there into the drain tray clean that hole also.
Second the thermostat that controls the steam may be damaged or the cpu board, the contact the controls the steam may be damaged, i have seen both of those happen on some units.

No Steam

Unit sounds like the steam valve and orings have failed.
This causes no steam and internal leakage.
