An adjective modifies a noun
An adverb modifies a verb. Without would be the prepositional phrase (maybe more like conditional or qualifying phrase) Geniuses is a noun.

Now I just try to remember.
Choose a prepositional phrase that makes sense to you. Supply a verb and a subject. Conjugate the verb to the tense you want. Enforce agreement between the verb and and its subject.
The only possible preposition I see is NEXT. However it can be adjective, preposition, or adverb. Here NEXT WEEK is an adverbial phrase (of time). So I do not see any prepositional phrase.
I would say" At the top of the mountain, it was cold! This phrase will answer the question" Where was it cold? The key word is AT, which is your preposition. Let me know if it helped!
