Screen keeps flickering. - Insignia 42" LCD Flat-Panel HDTV

changing the screen migth be expensive you can add money and get a new one

Please explain the events that lead up to your screen flickering ... in detail, from the time you turn the laptop on. Does the splash screen flicker?

check your input cable

Did you check both ends of the LCD Screen cable? The end that goes behind the lcd screen at the top and also the other end that attaches on the board. Also put a piece of tap over where the connections meet on the lcd screen to keep it in place.

Did you reseat (unplug then plug back in) the 2 cables that are in the LCD Inverter located at the bottom of the LCD Screen?

CHECK IN BIOS. If the screen is flickering in BIOS then it is hardare issue.

1.Please power ON the notebook, Keep tapping F10 as soon as you power it ON.
2.Press the F9 key to reset the BIOS defaults, it will ask to restore defaults. Hit Yes.
3.Press F10 and save the changes.
In BIOS please check if you can see the flickering. If the screen is same in BIOS then it is hardware issue. If you do not see the screen flickering in the BIOS then please update the BIOS and graphics driver

you have a problem with your flat it is a cable connecting the monitor to the notebook itself and may be damaged or not fixed in it's place

just open the system and reseat the display cable...

1. Need Model # of set and the brand so I know if its a plasma, LCD, or CRT set keep me posted

My screen flicker on xp but on win7 please help me?
