On this TV there are 3 boards, 1) power supply board, 2) Video and input board and 3) t con board. The power supply board powers the video and input board. The video and input board powers the T con board. With the tv in black screen mode check the voltages as outlined on the diagram next to the two white connectors on the brown board that feed the video and input board. If all the voltages are correct when the screen is black, then the problem is either the video input board or the t con. If you see the Vizio logo at start up, my guess is that the video and input board is bad. Power board is brown, video and input board is green and t con is under the metal plate at the bottom of the screen.

Fault to the main power supply regulator section. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

Indicates a problem with the high voltage circuit. You could try unplugging the power cord, plug it back in and try again. If that doesn't work unplug the power cord again but leave unplugged for at least five hours and try again. Still doesn't work find a local repair shop that works on sony tvs and have them fix it for you.

Our power went out, and our tv wont turn back on, is there a reset switch?

sometimes you can reset the mainboard by unplugging the set for 30minutes to 1 hour and see if it resets. If that doesn't work, you can try holdin down the channel down and volume down button on the tv itself at the same time you plug in the unit and see if that helps

I have no picture or sound when i hit the power button it clicks off

Please do the self check this set has:

When the power light comes on and goes out press and hold both the MENU and Input (also called Device) buttons at the same time for at least 5 seconds and then release both buttons.

The power light will blink a two digit error code--for example--2 blinks, a pause and 2 blinks.

Let me know what error code you find and I will tell you what it means and what may actually be the problem.

I am here to help people.
