Same here. I don't know how to fix my Sony Music system. keeps on ejecting disply and set on standby .

  • nimesh joshi Aug 12, 2018

I have sony mhc gn 1000 d and whenever I switch on power it says please wait and then goes into standby mode. So now I have removed the complete CD section , tuner and tape deck section. Now only power amp, main board, power board, switching board, surround board, function board and panel board is connected. Still there is same problem while there is nothing to eject now. So now I go to pin number 26 at IC 401 and removes the connect. But still the problem is there. So let me know how to repair it. I want to use my Sony mhc gn 1000 d as an audio amplifier by connecting it to audio output from a USB player.

Moody, it sounds like you have a short in the circuit. Check all of your wires, especially speaker wires and make sure there are no bare wires exposed. If there are none, and the protective device trips everytime you unplug it and plug it back in, I'm afraid it's time for a new unit.

SOURCE: Sony MHC-2800 setting the clock

Hi, it's simple. First press "Timer1" and Timer2" buttons together, clock on display will start blinking, by cursors "Up/Down" you can change the value of hours and minutes (switching between hours/minutes by "Left/Right" cursor). To save set time press "Memory". Enjoy your set clock :)

SOURCE: dvd not playing.c 31 00 occur

The only thing you can do is get a CD DVD player cleaner with liquid. Found at any store these days, then run it a couple times. If it plays, Problem solved, if not, it must be repaired. They will put a new transport in the unit. Usually runs 100-150 to replace. Weigh the cost to fix vs. the cost to replace and the age of the unit before you get it repaired. Hope this helps

Hi,

You can download the required manual from:

You'll require Adobe PDF Reader installed on your PC to view this manual. If it is not already installed on your PC, download it free from:

SOURCE: sony 3 disc changer mhc-gx880 has broken belt. How

You have to open the unit with screws in the back and push it out by hand, there should be a series of gears that you have to spin for the tray to come out. You may be able to gently push it by hand to come out.

Sony music hi fi system mhc-gzr88d show only demo not started

If only demo mode is playing,it's mean set is in standby mode.Normally
in standby mode it can't be operated. You have to power on the set by pressing power botton during demo mode.Once it gets power on,it will
start to work according to user required function. If the set not get power on after pressing power botton, then it's an electrical problem
and need to visit your nearby repairing centre.

MODEL GX250. CD PLAYER DOES NOT WORK. SYSTEM WAS IN STAND-BY MODE FOR SOME YEARS. TUNER AND TAPE PLAYERS WORK FINE. QUICK SOLUTION PLEASE.

This should be because you have not used the player for many years. Does the system eject the CD tray? Use the CD head cleaner CD that removes dust on the laser head if any. Try using the audio CD which are recorded in .cda format and not ion MP3 format.
