One of 2 things happened. Your ice maker overflowed with water and now the bucket is frozen or the ice maker fell into the bucket and it's wedged. If you can get the bucket out at least a inch it's the second problem

SOURCE: I cannot remove the ice

Hi ndb2157,

Please determine whether the ice bucket is being blocked by the ice or by the part of the icemaker is being dislodged. If it's ice blocking it, please reinsert the bucket, closing the doors, then dispense some ice to see if the auger in the bucket can move the ice out of the way so the bucket can be removed.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

SOURCE: not making ice

the number problem w/your model is the ice-mkr's module(motor). part 8201515.if your i/m's ejector fingers are not resting at around the 2 o'clock position, then more then likely you have a broken module. the red blinking light normal and it only turns off during the harvest cycle.

I can pull the ice bucket out about an inch then stuck..???

You have ice stuck inside where it has dispensed but it apparently did not drop all the way down to the container. Only thing you can do is shake it until everything drops, allowing the bin to be removed.

Freezer temp flashing post removal of ice bucket components - is this why?

Possibly because of ice build-up under ice bucket, a common occurrence. It needs to be removed and wiped off periodically. And the ice sometimes makes it difficult to remove the ice bucket, so you may need to use some warm (not hot) water in a spray bottle (squirt warm water under the seam at bottom of bucket) to get it loose. Of course, this is all assuming the bucket is the type attached to the door.

Removed ice bucket to clean & now unable to return it into freezer how is this done?

Lift the ice level bar to the up position, the bucket should easily slide back in place. Make sure to drop the ice level bar back into down position to allow for ice to be made.

I HAVE KITCHENAID SIDE BY SIDE REF. THE OUTLET OF ICE BUCKET FROSTS OVER , NOT ICE.

Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today. Sometimes ice gets stuck in the ice door causing it to build up frost and ice. When this happens the bucket gets stuck and wont come off. Using a hair dryer and melting it is the way we get them off. This is a common issue. Removing the ice bucket one time a month and running hot water through it and clearing any frost in the chute usually prevents this from happening.

I got a new french door frig and it wont make ice CUBES. It makes ice and even though the indicator says cubed ice, it comes out crushed. Is there a way to fix this easily. Otherwise i like the frig very...

Try removing the ice bucket and ensure that there is no obstruction (ice cubes stuck inside of metal blades). If no obstruction, then your problem may be in the electronic dispenser control board (if applicable) that distinguishes between cubed and crushed ice. If it appears that the problem is the board, then contact an appliance service company.

Ice maker not making ice. red light on control panel blinking twice.

Remove the ice bucket and inspect the ice maker for an ice cube stuck in the ejector. Hit it with a little heat of a hair dryer till it gets loose and the ice maker starts rotating. Replace the ice bucket. See if it starts making ice again amigo.
