Most oven doors come apart once you have removed the door from the oven. Look for clips, screws etc that you can undo to release the glass.. Sometimes you have to remove the front handle as well. Do it carefully and slowly. The glass can slide out when you least expect it and can smash on the floor or you can get cut. Take note of how it comes apart so you can put it back together again correctly.

My stove...how do u clean the inside glass on the oven door

Depends on the stove but there are slots on the bottom of the door between the glass panels. If you cannot get them clean, you might need to take apart the door.

How do I clean the glass on the inside of a rangemaster toledo stove

I just cleaned the inside glass on my maytag "gemini" and you take the inside door panel off, thencarefully lift out the glass and clean it.then reassemble. I found it easier to remove the door and lay it on thekitchen table with a blanket under it. Hope yours is similar as I suspect it is. Good luck and keep smiling. Please rate me...Thanks

I bought a house with a wood burning stove but I don't know how to operate it

First make sure everything is clean, from the chimney to the stove.insure all metal flues are tight from stove to chimney. Open damper on top of stove(some are in metal pipes). Open your draft vents, usually on clean out door at bottom. Depending on chimney draft you may need to open clean out door to get it started. Load your kindling and get it started. Add bigger wood as it catches. Turn down venting and drafting as the fire roars. Just don't shut draft before vents. You'll get used to balancing draft and vent as you go. I hope this helps

I Have A self cleaning stove Kenmore. When i want to clean and lock the door it will not start the cycle it shows door.?

There is a bad connection on the door lock to the sensor that detects whether the door is closed. Usually this means the door lock is broken, repairclinic.com will have a replacement if you find that this is the case. Let me know what you find.

I went to self clean my stove and my husband walked behind me and opened it before the door could lock. NOw my stove keeps flashing F90 and Door Open and I can't do anything! The stove is only a year old!...

Hmmmm, look up what that might mean in your owners manual, and follow direrections from there. If you don't know where it is, then go to mfg's web site and download the manual.

Self cleanning oven - door is lock and I can not get it to open

if you open the lid on your stove, you will probably be able to reset the
switch manually (the latch).with the lid up its located toward the front
behind the safety latch.(by no means attempt to force, bypass,or disable this
switch)this is a safety feature designed to protect you from the high temps
generated by the cleaning cycle.hope this helps.thanx for using fix-ya
Try this, and let me know if it worked, I am trying to help someone else with the same problem, that stove is Model, 790

Vintage General Electric Range

Lazidaisies,

you asked where can I find a service manual for a vintage stove? General Electric, 24"wide, push-button, electric; 1950s.
Placard on inside of oven door is "erased", except for embossed numbers: On the Left = 1 1245W2M2 10 7 On the Right = NM28552

You should go to GE and call them on the phone. They will have th resources to give you this Manuel!
bless you,

Cleaned stove, replaced bottom element, stove reading F3, F7 and F9. Oven will not work. But will work on Clean Cycle.

Initially, it sounds like a problem with the lock mechanism. Without the brand or model number, it's impossible to know what the fault codes mean. You may find them listed on a tech sheet in a plastic pocket behind the console.
F3 is usually a temperature sensor. F7 may be a keypad problem and F9 (on some machines) means there's something wrong with the door lock.
Sometimes during a self clean cycle, a high temp thermostat/ fuse fails, preventing the door from unlocking.
