SOURCE: The image is blurry (ghosting) and dark.

the tab bonds on the lcd panel where they attach to the Drive circuits above the TCON samsung is famous for bad flex tab bonds. Does the screen appear llike its in slow motion and double immages in that half of the screen as well as appear to have dark bands aross the screen? If so its probably the flex tab bonds.

SOURCE: won't switch on

You reports that you've changed the T'Con board. Where is the T'Con board to a Plasma TV? There is no such board to any plasmas. Visit the site named 'Electro-help' for more details. Click this link. View it in "Timeslide" or "Flipcard" option, which can be selected from the drop down box menu by the [Sidebar] tag, at the top left corner of the display window. You can also click the [Home] tab to see the latest updates. It will make search easy. There are more than 1350 posts to different brand TVs now. Pull up older posts there or make a search by typing in the brand name of the device in the "Search Box", at the top right of the display window

SOURCE: there is double imaging on my samsung tv, i replaced the tcon board and it still has the double image.

does it go away when the set warms up? or if you tap the set? Sounds like a possible defective LCD panel tab. Samsungs and Sony's are known for this.

SOURCE: how can I fix a double image my Samsung tv is putting out? I replaced the t-con board and nothing. what step should I take next?

The best step you can take now is to hire a tech. He or she wont replace things that are not defect. They will find the defective part and only replace that. Most of the time I spent more time to diagnose the error, than it takes to replace the defective part. But i diagnose is not made by replacing stuff till it works. In the end you can have defective components for 2 or 3 complete apparatus and it would still no work. Sometimes you can be lucky, but most of the time you are not. You don't have to take my word for that and look how lucky you are.

Samsung LED TV (UN39FH5000FXZA) has audio, but does not have backlight. I replaced the power supply/ LED board with no success, could this be caused by the main board or the t-con board?

Hi Matt,
The fault lies with the backlight LEDs. It is common with these sets. If you open the panel and replace the failed LEDs, or replace the panei.
Good luck.

Philips 32inch LCD tv.. when powered on runs fine for 5 mins and then it flicks and double image starts.. What will be the problem???

Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.
