Turn the power off and unplug the machine for 60 seconds. Plug the machine back in and turn power on. Repeat this process up to 3 times until the F4 error code has cleared.

Probably the bearings are dry. remove the fan and housing to get to the shaft and oil it. The circuit breaker is shutting it off because it is drawing excessive current.

How to clean your Dyson Cool fan

How to clean your Dyson Cool AM01 or AM06 desk fan, AM02, AM02 Living, AM02 Mini, AM07, AM07 Living or AM07 Mini tower fan, or AM03 or AM08 pedestal fan.

Your machine may differ to the one shown in the video, but the process for cleaning it will remain the same.

IMPORTANT: Please turn off and unplug your Dyson Cool fan before cleaning it. We recommend using a soft, dry cloth or soft dusting brush to clean the intake holes and loop amplifier. Do not use liquids, polishes or detergents to clean your Dyson Cool fan as this could cause damage not covered under guarantee.

Dyson cr01 fault F4

Hi Sue, it's Jack at Dyson.

An F4 fault code means 'inner door opening'. Unfortunately since 31st December 2012, we have been unable to support CR01 and CR02 washing machines with spare parts or servicing. In October 2012 proactively wrote to all CR01 and CR02 owners that we'd interacted with within the last 3 years to make them aware of this.

If you would like to discuss your concerns further with one of our experts, you can reach us on 0800 298 0298. Calls are free from UK landlines, and we're available from 8am-8pm from Monday to Friday, and 8am-6pm on weekends.
