Screen stuck in the open position,wont close when button is pressed,button does beep motor doesn,t close screen altering the angle of screen with button on front of unit does nothing.

1. Place the ignition switch in the ON position.
2. Push and hold the sunroof switch toward 2 . Once the sunroof has reached the full tilt position, release the switch. Push and hold the switch toward the 2 position again. After a delay of four seconds, the sunroof will make a small movement and backup.
3. Release the switch.
4. Within 5 seconds of releasing the switch, push and continuously hold the switch toward 2 . The sunroof will move from the tilt position to the open position and back to the close position.

hey, I had the same problem when I accidentally droped my camera, some parts in the mechanism are probably broken or jammed.

Most likely repairs required.

press the lock button 4 times quickly after you turn the ignition on. it will go into a beeping mode where you can now move the sunroof in small stages with the switches. set it to the normal closed position and now hold both switches in the back position for a second (or perhaps click the lock button 4 times again)

if its closed and wont re open you can use a flathead screwdriver to get it open but beware it could get stuck in closed position you need a new motor latch or it could need a bit of WD40

Try pressing and holding the open/close button while pressing the reset . If you let up on the reset keep the open/close button pressed. I've heard that works but can't guarantee it. I haven't had this problem so I've never tried it. Might be a bad motor for the flip out. Hope it works for ya.

Two things happen. One the latch is already latched and therefore it's closed before the gate shut, When you try to close it you might notice that the door don't close all the way. This doe'snt have to be thwe case. the other thing that happens if the lock mechanism is working, You here it click? The latch is stuck as the opener is stuck. You might get lucky and spray the latch with Blaster or other rust buster type penatrant. Theres angles though the opening of the latch . Spray on several angles and repleatly close the door trying to vibrate the Penatrant into the stuck area. Looking at the latch use a screw driver to move the latch and see if you can cycle it though it's positions to see if you can latch and unlatch it with the tool and reopen by pullung the handle ( you may need to try ther inside handle too and even the remote openner if you have one. Ussaaaly you need to push the button twice to open the rear hatch so it may take a few trys and spraying to get it to come loose.. Some vehicals stay closed a long time and stuck is the way to think.. But if the door is used often the linkage inside the door mayh have come off the the latch is closed and the linkage doesn't open the laTCH AND THE THING MANAGED TO GET CLOSED WITHT THE DOOR OPEN.

it out of track and you may need to grease the track

It sounds like it just needs to be reinitialized. Turn your key to the on position with motor off and hold the up/full vent button down for at least 30 seconds or until your sunroof either clicks or goes to the full vent position. That should fix your problem.

Open it again and check the ribbon cable for cracks, the one that get drag in and out every time it open and close. Because it is a defect for Pioneer too, and Pioneer would replace it free. Goodluck.

I had exactly the same problem. Lens stayed open, when powered on you get three beeps and nothing. I found when I pulled the lens out a little harder it gave a little click. When I powered on it worked perfectly.
