Haier dehumidifier works but suddenly water is draining on floor instead of into bucket ( is not cracked) cannot find drainage hole to clean out when bucket is removed.where would this be located?

Assuming you have a hose connected to the bucket for drainage, it is necessary that the end of the hose be lower than the top level of the bucket or the bucket will fill before the hose drains. I see many people who have their units on the floor and run a hose up into a sink and wonder why the bucket fills. Gravity works.....if you cannot find a lower place to drain the water then you must raise the unit up on a table or stand of some sort to get the bucket higher than the drain.

It sounds like your dehumidifier needs to be professionally cleaned. What could be causing the problem is a buildup on the inside of your dehumidifier where the water drains out and it is causing the water to not drain properly. Additionally, I would check to verify that the drain hole is tightly secured with the plug. I know you stated that the bucket is not leaking but have you removed it to verify? When my unit did that, I found that it was because the drain tube was plugged with lint and/or dirt...
Run a large tooth pick or wire up inside the drain and see if the water doesn't start running right out of there...

sounds like the drain line might be clogged, with a piece of wire stick it in the line and see if it clears it. Hope this helped tim

Based upon my experience with the same problem on my Kenmore 54701 last summer: The condensate water collects in a plastic pan below the coils. This pan has a single drain hole where the water flows down into the bucket. When I suddenly found water puddling on the floor instead of in the bucket, I opened up the unit, and I found that the collection pan's drain hole had become blocked by "bioslime". I cleaned out the goo from the drain hole, and the problem was solved.

please make sure the unit is leveled.also make sure the hole in the drain pan not clogged.also the size of the hose must be fit the hole not smaller

Take out the drain pan and look in left hand top of the compartment and you will see a drain hole for the pan.Plug the drain hole with a small rubber plug, I used an electrical wire nut wrapped with tape and it worked fine.replace the pan and the water will run out the back. A 3/4" garden hose should work for the drain hole.

Please try the following:
1) Remove the bucket.
2) You will notice a round outlet/spout where the water drips from into the bucket.
3) Remove the plug from the backside of the unit (you will now see a hole to the bucket area).
4) Feed a hose through the hole from the back and attach the end of the hose to the round outlet/spout.
5) Place the other end of the hose on a floor drain outlet.
6) Put the bucket back into the unit.

When the unit is turned on, the water will now flow through the hose instead (into the floor drain). When you want to use the bucket again to capture the water, you will need to remove the hose.
