Machine is probably not in the fully "at rest" position. See if you can get the tray in without any other parts on it. Sometimes the waste grounds bin will foul on the mechanism if brewing unit has not stopped in the correct position. Once the bare tray is in and activating the switch the machine will realign itself when turned on.

Hi Ross I did what you said but cog in machine still not rotating to line up any more help please

  • Ross Keen Sep 26, 2015

Sorry Chrissy, out of ideas that don't involve pulling the machine apart. I'm conversant with Krups coffeemakers and was just trying to help with what works for them. If you can find a local Gaggia service agent and ask them they will be the most likely folks to have the answers. The machine is to complicated and expensive to be messing about with at home.

so to reposition internal mechanism I've done this:
    - turn machine on
    - press for around 2 seconds button for coffee and steam dispensing button -> machine repositioned itself and I could finally insert the brewing unit back in

Saeco Royal Cappuccino Brew unit dumping grinds into machine

It sounds like the brew unit might need to be serviced or replaced. The funnel not lining up properly could indicate a problem with the alignment mechanism or the gears that control the movement of the brew unit. You can try cleaning the inside of the brew unit, checking for any obstructions or damaged parts, and reassembling it carefully to ensure everything is properly aligned. If that doesn't work, it's best to contact a professional for assistance. Saeco authorized service centers or repair shops should be able to diagnose and fix the issue.

Gaggia titanium inside cog won't line up with brew units cog, the brew units is in the correct possision. Machine comes on some one said I need a new ct board

If you've had the back off it may be this.....there are two grey plastic prongs sticking out of the back of the casing, when you've put it back on they haven't gone into the two lugs that are on the back of the cog, this affects the two cogs lining up.you may have to pull the cog up a little to line them up when you put the back on, the cogs should line up again as long as the prongs have gone into the lugs. Hope this this helps.

I'm unable to push the brew unit all the way in. This started when the brew unit was not properly inserted when the machine was turned on causing it to jam. I found the instructions that said remove a...

Hi
You must make sure that the brew unit is ready to reinsert into the machine. To return the brew group to the centered position, you first need to drop the funnel. To do this, look on the opposite side of the brew group from the handle. At the top you will see an object that looks like a sharks fin. If you follow this piece down you will see 2 horizontal bars on the brew group body. Push your finger between these 2 bars and the funnel will drop. Now you can push the puck slide on the left side down and to the center. If you look down through the funnel you should see a piston. This should be centered in the funnel. If not, locate the slide on the left side of the brew unit, (it should be hanging down, a flat rectangular piece attached to the cylinder) and push the slide to the right until it does. Push the press button and you are now ready to reinsert the brew group in to the machine. First you must close the door with the drip tray and dredge drawer inserted and turn on the machine without having the brew group in. You will hear the motor turn on and when it stops completely, open the door and remove the tray, and dredge drawer, now replace the tray and insert the brew group. If it still won't go in check the cog in the back of the machine. There are 2 wide teeth that should be at the 10:00 and 12:00 position. If they are at a different position you have a broken drive gear.

Cannot put brew group back in. I already tried turnig off and on the machine to reset but this didn't work.

Hi
First open the door and check the cog in the back with the big teeth. There are 2 wide teeth and they should be at 10:00 and 12:00. If not, insert the drip tray and dredge drawer into the machine and turn it on. When everything stops, open the door and check the teeth again. If they are in the correct place go to the next step. If not you have a broken brew drive and it will need to be serviced.

My machine was stuck in mode and brew group wouldn't come out, as described in another question. I followed the directions of the other question, but now I can't get the brew group back into it's place. ...

Remove the dredge drawer. Open the door. On the left side of the brewing unit, and towards the back of the brew group, there is a single screw. Remove the screw. Grab the handle and pull carefully, but firmly with a quick ****. The brew group should come out. There is a piece that remains in the machine. Slide that piece down and to the right and it will come off. Insert the piece into the hole on the backside of the brew group with the clip up. Tighten the screw and move brew group back into position.

Screen says brewunit blocked. Brewunit seems clear but stops in wrong position, ie not 'home' any ideas? Thanks

Hi If you remove the brew unit and put everything back with out it the brew unit. Turn th machine on and see if it will cycle? Open the door and look in the back where the brew unit was. There is a cog in the back with teeth. There are 2 large teeth, and they should be at the 10 and 12:00 position roughly. If they are anywhere else you have a broken drive and need to get the gears replaced. If they are in the correct position check the front of the brew unit where the circles are. There are 2 diamonds and they should be pointing at each other. if they are not you need to bring them together with the key tool. Insert it into the center of the circles and turn until they line up, then put back into the machine, and see if it will work. If it still doesn't you have a bad board.

My brew group is jammed. I need to remove the screw that holds the small coupling water inlet to the brew group. The problem is that I cannot seem to find that screw in my Incanto Classic machine.

Hi
Its on the left inside of the brew unit. There is a hole on the left side of the brw unit. That hole is to access the screw in the normal position but now it has mover. You will have to go in from the side. Its a #1 Phillips screw. You will need a 6" screw driver.
Here are the directions you will need.

Brew group

Turn on the machine so that the cog at the back will cycle back to the original position. Supposedly to cycle back to the original position. See if this works.
