SOURCE: i have a speedline 180 amp arc welder and it

Check for output voltage (ac or DC depending on model). No voltage, welder has a problem.
You must have a clean ground clamp attached to bare metal with some welders to make them work.

E5 error

E5 error on a Miller Blue Star 6000 Electric Start 120V DX, 240V TWLK welding generator could indicate a problem with the generator's voltage regulator. The E5 error code is specific to the Miller welders, and it's not a general error code that could be found on other brands.
The voltage regulator is responsible for controlling the output voltage of the generator to ensure that it stays within a safe range. If the voltage regulator fails or a malfunction, it can cause the generator to produce too much or too little voltage, which can cause the E5 error code to appear.
Here are a few things you can try to fix the problem:
  1. Check the voltage output of the generator, and make sure it's within the correct range.
  2. Inspect the voltage regulator, and make sure it's not damaged, corroded, or lose connections.
  3. Check the wiring going to the voltage regulator, and make sure there are no loose or corroded connections.
  4. Check the engine oil level and make sure it's not too low.
  5. Check the air filter and make sure it's not clogged.
It's important to check the manual of the welder for troubleshooting steps and also check the warranty of the welder and see if it's still covered by the manufacturer. If you are not able to find the problem or if you are not familiar with welding equipment, it's best to take your welder to a qualified Miller Electric welder repair service center, they will be able to diagnose and fix the issue.

  3. Some models may have a menu on the display screen where you can navigate to and change the cool mode.
  4. If the manual and the control panel do not provide any information on how to change the cool mode, it may be necessary to take your welder to a qualified Miller Electric welder repair service center for diagnosis and repair.

Miller blue star 6000 generates great but when welding, motor surges and seems to be welding very hot, no matter the engine speed

If your Miller Blue Star 6000 Electric Start 120V DX, 240V TWLK welding generator is generating power but the engine surges and the welding is too hot, there could be a few different things causing the problem. Here are a few things you can try to fix the issue:
  1. Check the engine speed and make sure it's set to the correct RPM for the type of welding you are doing. Lowering the RPM can help to reduce heat.
  2. Check the welding settings, and make sure they are appropriate for the type of welding you are doing. Make sure the voltage and amperage are set correctly.
  3. Check the ground connection, and make sure it's clean and tight. The ground connection must be secure for stable welding.
  4. Inspect the welding cables and make sure they are in good condition and that the connections are tight.
  5. Check the welding gun and make sure it's clean and in good condition.
  6. Make sure that the air filter is clean and not clogged, if the air filter is dirty, it will cause the engine to run hot
  7. Check the engine oil level and make sure it's not too low, a low oil level can cause the engine to overheat.
It's important to check the manual of the welder for troubleshooting steps and also check the warranty of the welder and see if it's still covered by the manufacturer. If you are not able to find the problem or if you are not familiar with welding equipment, it's best to take your welder to a qualified Miller Electric welder repair service center, they will be able to diagnose and

My bobcat 225g runs full bore all the time, I thought it would idle then when you strike an arc it would pick up speed,

A welder does not speed up when an arc is struck. It is normal for a gas welder to stay at a high rpm. If it did not, it would be very hard on the machine as a high amperage is needed to start an arc for welding, and to be consistant. Unlike a generator which will "idle down" when not in use.

Arc starter on sync 350 interferes with equipment

It's the high frequency, ground the case of machine, work lead connection and work table, do not chain grounds together, this will cause a ground loop.
