Have you bugged Comcast about this? They are the ones selling you a subscription to their service. The onus is on them to service you properly. But do not hold your breath because that cable company is one of the, if not the, worst cable company for service.
And if not, you go else where.

Alot of times adding a couple of zero's before the actual code sometimes does the trick. Have you tried contacting Comcast???
There are times where the manufacturer will not list a code for an AFTER MARKET remote, which any remote control that is not made by the manufacturer is considered an AFTER MARKET control.

Comcast actually has several different remotes for their different set-top boxes and the remote codes aren't always the same. They list all of their current remote devices on the following page. If you click on view manual it will give you a list of remote codes.

google the name of your remote say for example need codes for philips remote it should give you plenty of them find your remote in the selections and get the code from it and how to put them in simple really and it will also say if the codes do not work it will give you a way to do a code search on your remote for it to work this is free no cost ive done it plenty of times
