I have a Schwinn Blue Tunes Bike Speaker. It pairs to my Samsung galaxy S4 through Bluetooth with no problem. I am able to control my spotify account with no problem using the device. I am able to play,...
It seems many people use only the term "paired" when talking about CONNECTING two Bluetooth devices. Connecting two Bluetooth devices means first "pairing" them and then "connecting" them. Pairing is a one time process done only the first time you try to connect the devices. It is like the two devices getting to know about each other. Next step is to actually connect the two and this process is done the first time after the pairing and then every time you want to use the speaker from your phone. When you open the Bluetooth tab on your phone's Settings menu you will see the names of all the Bluetooth devices it has been paired with previously and a "Paired" word next to it. If you want to use the device/speaker, tap on the name and it will CONNECT to it. You will see the word "Connected" instead of "Paired". Now you should have the music that you play on the phone coming out through the speaker. If you still can't hear the music over the speaker after a successful connection, turn up the volume on your phone (and on your speaker, if it has its own volume controls).
