Hi,
There are 2 ways of programming your remote to your TV. However, not all universal remotes will work with all TVs or other devices.
Method 1: Manual code entry
Sylvania TV codes:
062, 004, 006, 088, 076, 116, 008, 019, 068, 069, 075, 077, 161, 183
1. Switch on your TV
2. Press and hold the "CODE SEARCH" key on the RCA remote until the indicator light illuminates and stays lit, then release the "CODE SEARCH" key
3. Press and release the "TV" key on the remote. The indicator light will flash and then continue to remain illuminated.
4. Enter the first code from the list above - 0 6 2 - using the number keys on the remote.
(The indicator light will switch off if a code has been entered correctly. If not, go back to step 2 and repeat the code entry)
5. Point the remote at the TV and press the "OFF/ON" key. The TV should now switch off.
If the TV does not switch off, go back to step 2 and repeat the manual code entry for the next code in the list (004).
If the TV switches off, switch it back on using the "OFF/ON" key, then test the common functions of the TV with the remote, e.g. volume, channels, mute, etc. If these functions do not work (or correspond to the correct buttons on the remote), go back to step 2 and repeat the manual code entry for the next code in the list (004). Repeat until you have tried all of the codes above.
If/when you have found the correct code, make a note of this code and keep it somewhere safe for future reference. A good place to keep this is inside the battery compartment as the code may need to be re-programmed when replacing the batteries.
Method 2 is the automatic code search, but I'd prefer not to confuse you (or myself!) with too many instructions at once, so if you are unable to get the codes above to work correctly, please post back for further assistance.
Regards,
BElectric
