My 4 year old roper washer leaves grease on clothes. On spin cycle the machine makes a screaching noise, and the clothes don't spin dry.

Possible that the belt is slipping and also there is some issue with the agitator as the gaps within seems to bring up the dirt or grease mix to the clothes.
So it is important to remove the panel and check the play on the belt, replace if the play is high and check if the agitator bearings are worn out. If so the agitator assembly must be taken out and checked.

Timmer may be bad. Bad contacts on timmer for spin mode. Check to see if timmer goes though cycle to end. Also check lid switch.

Top loader does not spin fast enough to spin dry.

possibly the clutch is slipping, i've heard you can take a #10 washer and put it in one end of your clutch spring caps and that would tighten it up

I HaVE A WM63 HOTPOINT WASHING MACHINE, IT FILLS UP THEN IT GO IN TO SPIN INSTEAD OF WASHING THEN WATER COMES OUT DOOR AND SOAP DRAWER. ALSO DOES NT SPIN DRY ENOUGH TO TAKE OUT... COULD IT BE THE TIMER...

I'm afraid it is a faulty timer control board problem, the only solution is to replace the control unit, an expensive repair, at 10 years old, I personally think you would be better off replacing the washer.

Drum on washer wont spin

It's not worth fixing if it's 10 years old or more, better off replacing it with a newer machine which will be much more efficient!

The belt is gone and or snapped off or the transmission is shot! And it's not worth replacing an old transmission.
If it's 10 years old or more buy a new one
and save your money ,fixing it is a waste!
Not worth the money to fix!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
