Question about ViewSonic VG900 19" Flat Panel LCD Monitor

Stuck screen resolution on monitor

I use a ViewSonic VG1930wm monitor with my Dell lap top. Every time my computer goes to sleep, the ratio on the monitor automatically defaults back to 1280 x 720 (normally it is at 1440 x 900). Every time it does this I have to access "properties" -- "settings" --- "screen resolution" to fix it. I don't understand why it keeps doing this! Is there a way to keep the higher screen resolution?

Many thanks.

It could have something to do witht he power setting's , go to properties / then screensaver , then click power options , u can turn sleep mode off there, and also change a few other things that may be causing this, your laptop may also have its own power setting , which is normaly in the task bar near the clock , high proformance , office, games, e.c.t , i assume when u plug the lcd in you have the power cord in the laptop connected, so i would just suggest my first option , and change the settings there , hope this helps

Why does viewsonic monitor vx1940w dvi goes to sleep on windows 7?

Make sure the resolution signal sent out via the DVI is a valid timing signal the monitor can recognize.

What do i do when it comes on and shows analog then goes blank ?

Are you using the analog input or another? If using another input instead, then press the 2 key. It will switch to another input as the source signal. If you still experience trouble, please contact ViewSonic technical support for assistance.

I have a samsung synmaster 712 n monitor when and a dell inspiron computer lap top . when i plug monitor into lap top samsung light blinks and no signal on screen from lap top

Did you use the combination keys of your laptop Fn and either F5, 6, or 7 depends on brand to select internal/external/both? You also need to make sure that the video resolution feeding the monitor is at native resolution setting.

My ViewSonic VG1930WM (Black) LCD Monitor wont turn on

You need to open it up and the first place to look will be the power supply, look for bad caps with bulging top, post back what you find so we can guide you further. See example of failed VIEWSONIC monitors due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

Are Dell monitors not compatible with older HP Pavilion Computer? I tried to connect my HP CPU to a Dell monitor and it will not recognize it at all.

It shouldn't make any difference which monitor you are connecting to any computer. In fact, I am running a 19" HP Flat Panel on my Dell Dimension 2400 right now. It is NOT a wide screen monitor as the Dell built in graphics card will not support the RESOLUTION RATIO required for the wide screen. Check what setting is "native resolution" for your monitor and see if your graphics card will support it. If not, using your old monitor, try different resolution settings. Right click on your desk top, click on properties and that should bring up the display properties box. Try a lower setting as larger settings are the ones that will give you a black screen. It will probably give you a smaller picture on your old monitor, or perhaps smaller or larger icons on the desk top. Accept the new settings, turn off your computer and switch monitors, and turn your computer back on. If you get a picture, but it does not fill the whole screen or the icons seem too large or small, then go back into properties from the desktop and try a different resolution ratio until the picture seems correct.

Our viewsonic monitor tilts forward. how do we tilt it back?

Hello again.
The ViewSonic VG1930wm has a height adjustment range of 3.2", TILT capabilities, and a swivel range of 360 degrees.
So yes your monitor should be able to tilt back and forth.  Most likely if you hold the base of the monitor, and press somewhere on the front at the top or bottom (do not press on the screen itself) then it should easily tilt back and forth.  Occassionally there is a switch you may have to hold while you push on the front-top/bottom of the monitor which acts as a lock for the tilt angle.
Hope that helps, and don't forget to vote/rate!
Height adjustment range 3.2", tilt, swivel range 360º

Viewsonic monitor

Pixel Ratio is just a parameter Measured to Produce Good Quality Display with Fine details so Do not Mix up with Resolution and Pixel ratio.

Use the Resolution that best sutes the Application you use(which may change with time to time based on applications you use)
Keep a standard Resolution 1024 x768,or which ever suits your Vision.
NViiDiA is a Grafix card and Monitor features are 2 differnt thigs so.
Dont be concerned about the Parameters and get mixed up.
just find the best possible Resolution and enjoy your Monitor with best Quality, :)
