Hi, the basic elec. Design. Of auto lighting circuits is based on this concept. Dash lights and tail lights use the same feed, For example, if a dash light. Was shorted, you will lose dash and tail lights, Assuming. your stereo has the factory system, this is where. I would start. First chk your fuses, if they are ok, your. issue. may be your dash dimmer,, or worse cas, your muttifunction switch may be def.

Have you looked under the hood? There are more fuses under the hood. Is your dimmer turned down on your dash lights?

Where is the fuses for the dashbord lights on 1998 nissan pathfinder

The fuse should be located in the main chassis fuse panel, on the drivers side, beneath the dash area. Look for a removable panel of some sort. I believe the dash lights may be on the same circuit as your tail lights. If your tail lights still work, you might not have a blown fuse. Check to make sure you don't have the dimmer switch turned all the way down. A lot of people never use their dimmer switches and completely forget about them until the lights inadvertently get turned all the way down. If it's not the fuse or the dimmer, you may have a bad headlight switch or other wiring issue.

My 2005 nissan altima has both tail lights out, the break lights work and i searched all over for the tail light fuse, but i cannot seem to find it. help?.

if its like most nissan s you have to remove the glovebox and the fuse box is behind it, the main box can also be located beside your battery, if both tail light blow it will, blow a fuse, so check your lights regular to save you the hassle of looking for fuses.

Dash lights

This might sound like a dumb question, but I've done this myself: Is it possible that the dimmer switch is turned down? If not, check the fuse for the insturment/gauges, if that is ok then you can check to see if the ground wire came off under the dash. Lastly, if all else is ok, replace the headlight switch. They can partially still work for the other things, like the headlights, taillights, etc....and not work for the others, like your dash. I sincerely hope that I could help. Best wishes.
