My Sony camera has a bug inside the middle lens, can anyone help how to remove? Please.

The bug is bigger than a mosquito in size, located at the center inside my outer lens.

Download the service Manual for this Camera from www.eserviceinfo.com/downloadsm/22939/SONY_P200.html and that should get u started to fix it yourself and in case you need parts for it, go to ebay and buy it "as is". Just make sure that the part you want is good. Good Luck!

SOURCE: Sony Dsc h3 Camera fails to recognize lens cover removed

Your problem may be due to weak/worn out batteries or corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, chances are that your batteries need to be replaced because they're just too worn to properly power the camera. And then, of course, there's the possibility that your camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

How do you take the lens cap off

Your PowerSeeker is very similar to the one I have. The lens cap is easily pulled by removing a small round cap over the bigger cap (it's right in the middle and you can grab it and pull). By doing so, you'll notice a round opening and you may put one of your fingers inside and pull the cap out. You can proceed the reverse way by pushing the lens cap back to your PowerSeeker and replacing the small cap back in place.

Canon 300 HS lens whining sound.

Pull the battery and see if it stops. If it starts again after you put the battery back in, the motor relay is jammed. If the mosquito stops buzzing you are in business...the sequencing was not completing.

My camera has suddenly started shaking - vibrating, and the display is all shaken. it keeps making a weird buzzing noise inside too. and it did come up with E:62:10 but thats gone now.

On Sony T100 and similar,
its the vibration canceling unit, i had the same problem.
if you have good hads you can fix it.( on your oun risk)
1) disasamble the camera, you will see black plastic box inside, this is he lens unit.
2) on the botom you see 2 scrwes, they are holding the CCD remove them and the ccd unit will come from the lens assembly
3) the next is the stabilizer unit it is the problematic one. it is located on the left side of the lens asebly and is held by 2 screws.
you can test it by puling out the cable connected to it (the conector is just under the lens) and verifign that the problem is solved. ( you can leave it this way it will shoot fine just without the anti shake)
4) to fix it take it out ,remove the plastic cover, you see the lens on a plastic mount it should be glued to the magnet under it. the problem is that the glue fals apart.
remove one of the pins on wich it slides, and take the lens and the magnet out.
5) reglue the magnet and reasemble the camera.
6) power up and test, for me that solved the problem

if you need more help you can mail me at adisarit(et)yahoo(dot)com
this is spam mail so be prepared to wait a few days for reply.
this was tested and worked on 2 additional cammeras

I have a Hasselblad 500c/m with the lens stuck on the body and I not turn the shutter knob. Help!

Get the back off the camera, make sure you can see inside the camera and locate a chrome screw in the middle below the lens.
Turn it right to align the locater slot of lens and body. Be very careful and do not use to much force. If you turn it enougn you can use the release button an unscrew the lens by turning it anti-clockwise.

Fuzzy dot

Hi

Its hard to say without seeing the camera myself, but it's either dust inside the lens or it could be a small amount of condensation that has dried up and left a small amount of dirt behind.

What you will need to do (or have somebody do) is open up the camera, tear apart the lens and see if there is any dirt on the CCD. You can also look inside the lens from the front and see if you see any dirt trapped inside.

If you see dirt trapped inside the lens.... The only solution I know of is to replace the lens. If it's on the CCD (behind the lens) it's easy to clean off. Just make sure you don't leave fingerprints on the CCD when you're cleaning it.

If you need somebody to do it for you, we are a digital camera repair business (Google Darntoothysam) and would be happy to help. I think we have a CCD cleaning listed for about $35 including return shipping of the camera, but please note as I said above if its inside the lens elements and not on the CCD we can't clean it off.

Hopefully this advice helps, and if you need to ask further questions please feel free to contact me.

Good luck from Darntoothysam com

2 ISSUES: 1) Pencil tip size dot in the middle of the projection. 2) weird smell coming from projector vent.

might be a speck of dirt on your lens, possibly on the inside. I assume youe have wiped the outside of the lens? ;-) (I have to ask) If the dot seems to be following pixels exactly your projector might be broken. The smell might be from some dirt or possible an insect in the projector. Try using compressed air to blow out any dirt and dust. It might just be dirt acumulated over time that is burning to create the smell. t t might be a long shot, but if the bulb is easily removed, yo ou might try to shine a flashlight through the lens to see if there is dirt on the lens inside. If you adjust the image size mechanically, or use lens shift, does the speck move on the picture? If so, it's probably on the lens.
