Dear Helen,
Which filter? You have the air filter, the oil filter, and the cabin filter.
If it is coming out near the air filter or the oil filter, I should suspect a leaking heater or radiator hose.
A pressure tester for the radiator will help you find those leaks.
If it is near the cabin filter, it should be the drain tube for the air conditioner condenser, which is normal to leak when the air conditioning is running.
Try to catch some of the water that is leaking and see which fluid it is.
Air conditioner condensation water is clear, it even looks drinkable.
Anti-freeze/coolant liquid is colored blue, green, red, or yellow, (it depends on the brand) and has a distinct sweet smell and taste. No, I am not recommending you should taste it.
God bless your efforts.

Have your engine mounts checked. I was experiencing the same type if things, and it turned out all 5 were cracked! (I also have the 1995).

SOURCE: changing water pump on 1994 nissan quest

There is no easy way, water pumps are hard to change on this vehicle. Before starting the job I would buy a repair manual with step by step instructions. To give you some idea on how long it may take, the labor time is 4.5 hours for an experienced tech.

SOURCE: water leak inside the car

Whats causing this is that the drain hose for the evaporator is clogged and overflowing into the car. what has to be done is get under the car and find the drain hose, which is going to be on the passengers side of the car by the firewall, and get either compressed air and blow into the hose to try to free the blockage

Disconnect glove box lamp electrical connector. Do not let glove box assembly hang from glove box lamp harness.
Remove three lower screws and remove damper clip from glove box door. Separate glove box housing and passenger instrument lower panel.
Remove three screws and remove in cabin micro filter cover.
Remove in cabin micro filters from front heater and cooling unit assembly.
Note When installing two new in cabin micro filters ensure that the filters are facing in the direction indicated by the direction arrow for the airflow. Direction arrow is printed on side of in cabin micro filters.

Nissan quest sunroof drain clogged

open your skylight and feel in the front corners for muck stuck infront of the drainage holes. Use a pipe cleaner or other wire to poke through the holes and the water should drain out. It is a little difficult to see the holes but just feel around.

Need to replace water pump on nissan 1997 quest

Not sure why all other parts removed? Locate the water pump by following the lower radiator hose to the motor...the connection is part of the water pump housing...Also look at the replacement water pump to see what few bolts need to be removed to switch the pump. Be sure to use a water pump gasket sealer when applying the new water pump gasket...coat both sides as this also helps to hold in place while re-assembling. Reconnect all hoses and clamps...install the belt before testing...Talk with your local parts store also...the water pump usually comes with a replacement diagrahm too. Hope this helps.

Plugs were shot in 1999 nissan quest ,running on 5 cyl, replaced plugs cap roter still running rough, could it be engine controll modual

I really doubt it. I wouldn't spend that much money just yet. They usually last longer then the vehicle. Sometimes they go out but you dont want to waste a few hundred bucks for nothing. Try this. Check your fuel filter and air filter. Make sure nothing is clogged in them. Check your vaccum hoses for leaks. A little leak can cause that. It could be leaking fuel injectors or just a bad connection somewhere. The only way to tell is to start checking these. If you have another question, please let me know. I am here to help you in anyway I can.

95 nissan quest - strong smell of exhaust in the cabin area

The exhaust leak is almost always broken studs on the exhaust manifolds. It makes a tick noise when cold and usually goes away when the engine warms up. After a year or so, the noise doesn't go away.

Your heater-a/c air intake is at the base of the windshield through the screen on the passenger side. WHen the exhaust leaks from the manifold, the exhaust gas gets sucked into the air intake.
You can put the heater in recirc mode and it will draw air in from inside the car instead of though the outside air intake. You can't leave it in recirc for long in winter or your car will get ice or fogging on the windows from too much humidity. Take it off recirc after 10 minutes.
