Screw jets in untill they bottom out slightly then--
high jet one full turn out
low jet one and a half turns out
slight adjustments might have to be made once unit is running

Too long to print here. Go to the zama web sit and they give you a wonderful procedure for adjusting a zama carburetor. Especially important after you have taken it apart and installed a new carb kit. And even if you get a new carb the initial settings are so called defaults and you should really fine tune the carb for your specific motor.
1/12 initial settings, sounds like you are sucking air, check the hose from cylinder to carb which runs fuel pump in carb off vac pulses. some saws have one and some just **** through the intake small hole. good luck
The idle mixture screw is on the front and should be 1 1/2 turns out. The high speed adjustment on the side should initially be one turn out. Sounds like you have more of a problem than just carburetor adjustments. Are you sure the fuel pump is assembled correctly?
