Hi,
Check the picture bellow. Find out the switches in you tv. You can change the input by pressing input button. in some models if you press repeatedly the input button the input will also change . in others you have to press the iput button once and select the desired input by pressing channel up/down or volume up/down buttons.

Unless there is a source or input button on the set you need the original remote.

How to connect the cable to my Akai tv set without a cable input? I don't have a cable box.

If you get a cable box that has audio/video outputs on the rear connect them to a identical input on the rear of the set----direct connection and bypasses the coax fitting most sets have.

Go to the input you hooked to and leave set there--change channels via the box with its remote or manual buttons.

I have a 1995 RCA colortrak plus tv and it was given to me so I don't have their remote nor the manual and would like to know how to get it to an input channel so I can watch movies on my play station...

MOST OF THE VERY OLD SETS THAT HAVE THE JACKS ON THE BACK CAN BE ACCESSED BY GOING TO CHANNELS 90,91,92.

If no jacks on back of set you are out of luck.

Let me know what you find before you rate this information.

I need to configure the settings on my Samsung TX-R2035 TV so i can play my Xbox 360 on it. I don't know what all these abbreviations are, though. Help?

If you use the yellow, red, white jacks, these are called RCA jacks.
The tv should have these. Some have two sets of these. Make sure yours are hooked up to input or a/v So run xbox cords to tv input or a/v jacks.
Then turn on your tv and turn it to input or a/v channel
Some tv remotes have an input button on them

If you have any other questions just ask.

I have a Sony Bravia TV and the screen seems to be locked on AV1 I can here the cable channel but can't see the picture. Is there any way for me to unlock the setting so I can see the picture?

Please try this:
With your remote set on AV1, push the input button and try to change the input using the up and down arrows. You want to set it on cable or whatever your TV input normally says. I have Satellite TV and mine says satellite. You should be able to easily change it with the input button. If you can't do it, change the setting on your remote to TV and then try the same procedure. The Sony Bravia has manual controls on top of the set as well. If you are unable to change your input using the remote, try the manual controls, however, your remote does need to be reset for the correct setting as well. Using the manual controls will just help you check to see if there is actually a problem with your TV. Is this a new TV, new problem?Have you changed batteries in your remote recently?

I hope this helps you. If not get back to me, and let me know.

Manual Controls Not Sufficient

If you have a "Menu" button on the front panel of your set, then you may be able to change settings from the menu this way. If not then you will have to have the original remote to change settings. Stargazer
